Lim Ji Yeon Reveals What It’s Like to Play Contrasting Characters for ‘Lies Hidden in My Garden’ & ‘The Glory’
Lim Ji Yeon talks about filming back-to-back K-dramas and playing totally opposite roles for "The Glory" and her new series "Lies Hidden in My Garden."
The South Korean actress drew the attention of viewers after landing the villain role in the Netflix series starring Song Hye Kyo.
Taking on the role of Park Yeon Jin, she used to bully and torment Moon Dong Eun, which prompted her to drop out of school.
Years later, she decides to seek her much-awaited revenge and gets reunited with Yeon Jin and other perpetrators once again.
The huge success of "The Glory" brought Lim Ji Yeon recognition at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 after she bagged the Best Supporting Actress role.

Months later, she is set to deliver another interesting K-drama along with Hallyu star Kim Tae Hee.
Lim Ji Yeon on Playing Bully to Victim in Her New Drama 'Lies Hidden in My Garden'
In an interview obtained by a media outlet, Lim Ji Yeon shares what made her decide to join "Lies Hidden in My Garden" and play the role of Choo Sang Eun.
The actress says that she is "smitten" with the flow of the story after reading both the original novel and the script.
She also said that she would take any character in the series even if Sang Eun was not offered to her.
In Lim Ji Yeon's new drama, "Lies Hidden in My Garden," Choo Sang Eun has been experiencing abuse from her husband, Kim Yoon Beom, played by Choi Jae Rim.
This prompted her to escape her hellish life, until she met Moon Joo Ran, played by Kim Tae Hee, who is living a completely opposite life as compared to her.

The 32-year-old star was also asked about the difference between her previous role in "The Glory" and her new character in "Lies Hidden in My Garden."
She sees Sang Eun's character as a challenge for her since Park Yeon Jin exhibits a dark and revengeful character.
Moreover, Lim Ji Yeon also revealed that she got the offer for "Lies in My Garden" while working on with "The Glory."
"It was a project I had already chosen before my last project ['The Glory'] was released, but it just so happened that I wound up playing two contrasting characters back to back," she explained.
Interestingly, the actress said that she felt excited now that "Lies Hidden in My Garden" is about to premiere because she will be able to show viewers a new side of her as an actress.
"Lies Hidden in My Garden" is slated to debut on June 19, airing every Monday and Tuesday via ENA.
