According to a report obtained by a media outlet, "Lies Hidden in My Garden," episode 1, kicked off with poor ratings.
It was after Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 1.2 percent while its contender, "Delightfully Deceitful," which is not on its 7th episode, scored an average nationwide rating of 3.5 percent.
Although Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon's K-drama received low viewership, netizens seemed interested in the series' cinematography, the use of symbolism, and how actors played their respective characters.
Lim Ji Yeon Lauded for her Exceptional Acting
Based on the novel "Lies Hidden in My Backyard," the 8-part episode K-drama is a suspense thriller that depicts the story of a mysterious secret inside a backyard.
Because of this, two women, who live completely different lives were bound together.
In the drama, Kim Tae Hee plays Moon Joo Ran. Besides growing up in a wealthy environment, she has a supportive family and a loving, successful husband, Park Jae Ho, played by Kim Sung Oh.
However, her peace was disturbed after she became suspicious about their home.
Meanwhile, Lim Ji Yeon's character was the complete opposite of Moon Joo Ran's.
She is suffering from the violence of her abusive husband, Kim Yoon Beom, portrayed by Choi Jae Rim.
Because of this, she wants to escape her hellish life but doesn't know how or where to start.
Interestingly, the duo got caught up in a strange stench at Joo Ran's house.
