THIS ‘The Glory’ Actor Reported To Star In New Drama With Kim Go Eun

The big year of 2023 continues to be amazing for Hallyu star Kim Gun Woo as he receives another casting offer with a big scale project.

"Eun Jung and Sang Yeon" marks his first ever project after basking in his syndrome-level success with Netflix's revenge drama "The Glory."

Kim Gun Woo To Star In New Romance Drama

On June 21, media outlets reported that Hallyu actor Kim Gun Woo was cast in the forthcoming romance drama "Eun Jung and Sang Yeon."

Earlier this 2023, Kim Gun Woo created a massive stir as one of the villains in the smash hit Netflix drama "The Glory" alongside Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun.

The actor received high praises from the public, and even established a solid fan base around the world.

Fans couldn't hide their excitement when it was reported that Kim Gun Woo was offered to headline the new romance series "Eun Jung and Sang Yeon."

It tells the story of two best friends Ryu Eun Jung and Cheon Sang Yeon who work together as screenwriter and filmmaker, respectively. Due to an incident, their friendship suddenly ends.

Years later, the two ex-best friends meet again as adults living equally different lives. Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun were offered the roles of the two characters but they have yet to confirm their participation.

Meanwhile, Kim Gun Woo is offered the role of Kim Sang Hak, a young man who possesses great values and ethics. He is a photographer who dated Ryu Eun Jung in college.

They met again years later as colleagues where he works as a cinematographer with outstanding skills when it comes to the camera.

Kim Gun Woo is currently reviewing the work but fans are already excited to see him opposite Kim Go Eun. Focus is given to the rising actor who's yet to showcase his versatility as an actor.

While reviewing the script for "Eun Jung and Sang Yeon," Kim Gun Woo busied himself with his theater gig.

Kim Gun Woo currently stars in the musical play "Paris Bakery" which runs at S Theater, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.

Unbeknownst to many, the "The Glory" actor is a renowned theater actor and has starred in various plays like "Those Days."

He will reprise his role as Kang Moo Young in the 10th Anniversary of "Those Days," which will hold its first run in July.

As for television shows, Kim Gun Woo's most notable works include "Less Than Evil," "Catch the Ghost" and "Record of Youth."
