Doh Kyungsoo Reveals Struggles of Playing Astronaut in Upcoming Movie ‘The Moon’

In the forthcoming movie, "The Moon," the story of a space explorer who was left alone in the vast space is depicted.
Doh Kyungsoo takes on the role of Hwang Seon Woo, the astronaut who got stranded in space and was thousands of miles away from Earth.
Due to the unexpected and shocking incident, Sol Kyung Gu, who plays former space center director Jae Guk, is set to embark on a difficult mission to save Hwang Seon Woo.
Meanwhile, Kim Hee Ae portrays the role of Moon Young, the International Space Station chief director.
At the press briefing, Doh Kyungsoo gets honest and reveals the challenges he had during the filming of the upcoming movie.
As obtained by a media outlet, the EXO member said that he struggled with his costume.
Since his character is an astronaut, he wears a thick spacesuit most of the time.
Besides his heavy costume, the movie was shot in two seasons: winter and summer.
"What surprised me the most was that even during the shoots that took place in the winter, the staff turned on the air conditioner for me because it was very hot wearing the thick spacesuit all the time," he said.

Meanwhile, Doh Kyungsoo spoke about how considerate the staff are with him, especially during their filming session in the summer.
"They always made sure to provide a comfortable atmosphere that was cool to the point where I had to wear long sleeves," he said, lauding the production team with their efforts and saying "I could feel the staff's warm consideration throughout the process."
Why Viewers Should Watch 'The Moon'
Helmed and produced by "Along with the Gods" director Kim Yong Hwa, the upcoming sci-fi movie will be his debut film about space.
Apart from the top stars headlining the film, viewers will get to see the danger of Hwang Seon Woo's life in space and the difficulty for the space center to bring him back to Earth alive.
Besides the trio, the upcoming movie also showcases a spectacular lineup of supporting cast members, which includes "Reborn Rich" stars Jo Han Chul as the minister and Park Byung Eun as the head of the Aerospace Center.
With the continued teaser, still cuts, and trailers, "The Moon" is set to hit the big screen on August 2.
