"Concrete Utopia" unveiled its new teaser, introducing Park Seo Joon's character.

In the upcoming movie, viewers will get to see a different side of the South Korean hearthrob as he plays an interesting and challenging role.

Park Seo Joon Transforms As Doting Husband in 'Concrete Utopia'

Based on the second part of the smash-hit webtoon "Joyful Outcast," the forthcoming sci-fi-thriller movie depicts the survivor's life after Seoul was hit with a catastrophic earthquake.

In "Concrete Utopia," Park Seo Joon takes on the role of an ordinary public servant named Min Sung.

He and his wife, Myung Hwa, played by Park Bo Young, were among the residents of Hwang Goong Apartments, the only building that survived the earthquake.

As seen in the latest still cuts, Park Seo Joon expresses worry as he tries to protect his family amid the devastating disaster.

According to an outlet, "Concrete Utopia" director Uhm Tae Hwa, hints at how the top star will showcase his versatility as an actor.

"You will be able to see actor Park Seo Joon's comprehensive acting," he said, raising expectations for the star's deeper charm.

Over social media, fans can't wait to see the actor with a different character as well as his on-screen chemistry with Park Bo Young.

'Concrete Utopia' Cast, Release Date

Besides the duo, "Concrete Utopia" lead stars also include award-winning actor Lee Byung Hun. He will take on the role of Young Tak, who acts as the temporary leader of the residents of Hwang Goong Apartments.

Adding to the list of cast members are "All of Us Are Dead" star Park Ji Hoo, Kim Sun Young, Kim Do Yoon, and more.

Following the teaser, officials confirmed that "Concrete Utopia's" release date is scheduled on August 9.

Park Seo Joon 2023: 'The Marvels,' 'Gyeongseong Creature,' More

Besides the new disaster-thriller movie, Park Seo Joon has back-to-back projects in 2023.

Apart his much-awaited appearance in "The Marvels," the South Korean superstar will also headline the action-thriller K-drama "Gyeongseong Creature."

Set to exclusively premiere on Netflix sometime this year, viewers will get to see Park Seo Joon's chemistry with Han So Hee.

In the upcoming K-drama, he will portray the role of Gyeongseong's wealthiest and most handsome resident, Jang Tae Sang. He will get wind up with the badass Yun Chae Ok, played by Han So Hee, as they face off against mysterious creatures.

The highly-anticipated action-thriller drama is penned by Kang Eun Kyung of the "Dr. Romantic" series, and helmed by Jung Dong Yoon, the director of "Hot Stove League" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
