‘Lovers in Paris’ Cast Update 2023: What’s Next for Kim Jung Eun, Lee Dong Gun & Park Shin Yang
One of the most iconic K-dramas ever released, "Lovers in Paris," stole the hearts of viewers with the unlikely romance between Kim Jung Eun and Park Shin Young's character. As well as a love triangle with Lee Dong Gun.
It may look like a typical rom-com that focuses on a rich man, poor girl type of story, but the 20-part episode series showcased unexpected twists and turns, not to mention a surprising ending.
Released in 2004, the rom-com K-drama is directed by Shin Woo Cheol of "Secret Garden" and Where the Stars Land," along with screenwriters Kim Eun Sook of "The Glory" and Kang Eun Jung of "Bad Housewife."
"Lovers in Paris" not only showed the viewers how beautiful the City of Lights is but also showcased the exciting love story of Tae Young (Kim Jung Eun), a housekeeper for a CEO named Han Ki Joo (Park Shin Yang).
19 years after the drama aired, let's look at the current and upcoming projects of the "Lovers in Paris" cast.
Kim Jung Eun
After winning various awards and recognition, thanks to the popularity of "Lovers in Paris," Kim Jung Eun starred in different notable dramas like "Princess Lulu," "General Hospital 2" "Korean Peninsula," and more.
Interestingly, after three years since the 2020 K-drama "My Dangerous Wife," the 49-year-old beauty will return to the small screen with a highly anticipated project.

Headlined by Lee Yoo Mi of "All of Us Are Dead," Kim Jung Eun will join as one of the main characters in the much-awaited sequel, "Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon."
Set to play the role of Gangnam's wealthy and righteous woman named Hwang Geum Joo, she has been obsessed with doing good deeds to find her lost daughter.
Meanwhile, Lee Yoo Mi plays the titular role of Kang Nam Soon, a young woman with great strength.
Park Shin Yang
Taking on the role of President Han Ki Joo in "Lovers in Paris," Park Shin Yang also appeared in different series like "Money's Warfare," Sign," and more.
Like Jung Eun, he is set to make his K-drama comeback after being in talks to star in the upcoming novel-based series "Trapeze."
The upcoming K-drama will be helmed by "Secret Mother" and "Miss Granny" director Park Yong Soon.
Lee Dong Gun
The "Lovers in Paris" cast update will not be complete without Lee Dong Gun.
After the 2019 series Leverage," the 42-year-old actor is currently starring in his K-drama comeback.
Playing one of the main leads of the recently released Netflix K-drama "Celebrity" starring Park Gyu Young.
Lee Dong Gun plays Lee Chung Ah's on-screen husband, Jin Tae Jeon, and is joined by CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk and Jun Hyosung as lead stars.
