At the time, fans speculated that his social media might have been hacked, but his current agency, Human Made, issued a statement, addressing the actor's sudden social media activity.

"It is true that Lee Seung Gi deleted all of the [Instagram] posts himself," the agency said, as obtained by a media outlet.
Further, Human Made said that Lee Seung Gi's Instagram "was not hacked and nothing has happened to him," and clarified that "it was just done for a renewal."
