He takes on the role of Young Tak, who acts as the leader of Hwang Goong Apartment with the mission to protect his fellow survivors.
After the healing drama "Our Blues," he is set to return as the frontman in "Squid Game" season 2.
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk previously mentioned that the upcoming sequel will focus on the frontman's character and his decision to participate in the death-defying games.
Meanwhile, joining him in the upcoming sequel are Lee Jung Jae, Wi Ha Joon, Gong Yoo, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, and more.
Adding to the list of Lee Byung Hun's upcoming dramas is tvn drama series "Here."
He will be reunited with "Our Blues" cast members Shin Min Ah and Han Ji Min as they play the main characters.
Furthermore, joining the trio as lead stars are Nam Joo Hyuk and Bae Sung Woo.
Directed by Kim Kyu Tae of "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and "Our Blues," "Here" tells the story of people who work for an international non-profit organization.
