Lee Sung Kyung Fan Meet 2023 Highlights: 'Be Closer in Manila' Was a Night to Remember

Held at SM Skydome on July 8, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star welcomed us with a remarkable fan meet that was definitely worth the wait.

The stunning Lee Sung Kyung filled the whole venue with her overflowing charisma, infectious energy, and warmth for her Filipino supporters.

After being introduced by the host, we were entertained by the South Korean beauty's pitch-perfect singing voice, serenading us with her version of IU's "Hold My Hand."

It seemed that she really missed her Filipino fans and did a lot of performances for the night.

From channeling her "Doctor Romantic 3" Dr. Cha Eun Jae, where she sang an OST wearing Doldam's white coat, she also did her version of Disney's "Reflection" as her last performance.

Besides belting out high-note songs, the crowd went crazy after Lee Sung Kyung showed off her dance moves, performing "Tomboy" by Destiny Rogers, "After LIKE" by IVE, and "Unforgiven" by Le Sserafim as requested by some of her fans.

Interestingly, one of the main highlights of Lee Sung Kyung's fan meet in Manila was the Q&A.

We are surprised at how the model actress happily answered random questions.

One of the exciting things that Lee Sung Kyung was asked about was her "Dr. Romantic 3" co-stars.

She had to choose who among Im Won Hee (Manager Jang Gi Tae), Yoon Na Moo (Dr. Jung In Soo), Lee Hong Nae (Dr. Lee Seon Wung), and Lee Shin Young (Dr. Jang Dong Hwa) she wanted to meet again in another project.Instead of choosing only one, the 32-year-old actress answered "everyone" and explained that she would love to work with fellow cast members again in the future.

Of course, the Q&A will not be complete without asking about "Dr. Romantic" season 4.

Lee Sung Kyung shared that the directors and the whole team didn't expect that they would return for season 2. After completing the second season, they didn't anticipate the huge support of viewers but continued with the show's third sequel.

As for the fourth installment, she said that "they are not sure" how the medical K-drama will continue.

Interestingly, she revealed that she met some of the "Dr. Romantic 3" cast two days ago, sparking fans' delight with their reunion.

Speaking of fellow cast members, So Ju Yeon, Kim Min Jae, and Ahn Hyo Seop congratulated Lee Sung Kyung on her fan meet.

According to Kim Min Jae, who played the role of Nurse Park Eun Tak, he described the actress as the show's "energizer" and someone who "has a lot of energy" on the set.

As for fellow lead star Ahn Hyo Seop, who took on the role of Cha Eun Jae, Lee Sung Kyung is someone who is "full of love for others" and is the person he is "comfortable" with.

Time has passed so fast, and Lee Sung Kyung wrapped up her Manila fan meet, where she received chosen messages from her selected fans. Apparently, she was deeply moved by the warmth and support shown by her Filipino fanbase. Overall, this event was filled with touching moments that almost brought tears to Lee Sung Kyung's eyes.

The 32-year-old South Korean beauty ended the night with a special treat for us.

Just as we thought that we were leaving with unforgettable memories, Lee Sung Kyung gave us an unexpected and, not to mention, impromptu performance of "Hype Boy" by NewJeans, which, by the way, she totally nailed.
