Not even a few days from the finale of his drama "The Heirs", Lee Min Ho has already confirmed his participation in the upcoming movie "Gangnam Blues".
His management agency confirmed the news, "Lee Min Ho will be staring in director Yoo Ha's upcoming film 'Gangnam Blues'."
According to Director Yoo Ha, Lee Min Ho has been his target from the start. He said, "There are many actors who were interested in the role, but since I conceptualized this project, Lee Min Ho was the person I had in mind for the movie. I look forward to the chemistry on set with someone who is as charismatic, charming and talented as Lee Min Ho."
"Gangnam Blues" is about the development in the affluent Seoul's Gangnamn district in the 1970's, focusing on the black politics, gang life and dark organizations seeking to gain monopoly over the then underdeveloped land.
After his success in the dramas "Boys Over Flowers", "City Hunter", "Personal Taste" and the recently concluded "The Heirs", this will be Lee Min Ho's first movie since his 2008 films "Public Enemy Returns" and "Our School ET".
The filming is set to begin on March 2014, with the premiere slated on the latter half of the year.
