On July 12, tvN's upcoming fantasy series "My Lovely Liar" dropped new image teasers featuring lead actor Hwang Minhyun.
The South Korean heartthrob is making his long anticipated return to the small screen with his first ever major acting role in terrestrial television.
"My Lovely Liar" tells the fateful meeting of a woman who is able to detect lies and a man who has an unspeakable secret hidden under his sleeves.
In the series, Hwang Minhyun plays Kim Do Ha, a genius composer who will make Kim So Hyun's Mok Sol Hee's heart flutter in excitement.
Unbeknownst to him who hides a dark secret, Mok Sol Hee is a "liar hunter" who has lost her faith in people after gaining the ability to hear lies.
The brand new teasers capture Kim Do Ha's complexity. Clad in his high school uniform, he exudes an ethereal glow that raises curiosity about what goes on in his mind.
In addition, the shadow on his face as he reads his books in class also stimulates anticipation among the viewers who are ready to meet Kim Do Ha.
In another photo, a grown up Kim Do Ha is shown. He portrays his emotions and love for music by playing the piano without revealing his true identity.
Kim Do Ha finds salvation in music as he blocks himself from the outside world due to the huge secret he holds. The loneliness hidden in his eyes heightens curiosity about the secret he's hiding.
