Excitement is doubled for Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won's romance drama "Queen of Tears" after the drama announced its official release date.
The drama is among the most anticipated series as it marks Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won's first ever partnership for an acting project.
'Queen of Tears' Announces Official Premiere
On July 13, media outlets reported that the production of "Queen of Tears" will finally be released in 2024.
Originally, the "Queen of Tears" will be broadcasted as a weekend drama in December as a follow-up to Park Eun Bin's "Castaway Diva."
However, there have been some changes within the organization of tvN's weekend dramas and as a result, the composition of "Queen of Tears" was changed.
The drama's premiere has been moved to 2024 to give way to other dramas that have already wrapped up its final processes. However, the exact release date of the work is yet to be revealed.

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won's "Queen of Tears" is undoubtedly one of the most awaited works in the Hallyu scene.
It's a miraculous romance drama that follows the lives of a married couple who gets through a crisis that tests not only their love but also their trust and loyalty to one another.
In the series, Kim Soo Hyun transforms into Baek Hyun Woo, the legal director for the Queen's Group. He's a successful self-made man who doesn't forget his small town roots.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won takes on the role of Hong Hae In, Baek Hyun Woo's wife and the daughter of the conglomerate family that owns Queen's Group. She's a beautiful woman who behaves arrogantly in the Queen's Department Store.
The series is directed by "Crush Landing on You" creator Jang Young Woo and penned by "Vincenzo" screenwriter Kim Hee Won.
