Veteran actor Ju Ji Hoon disclosed for the first time his concerns and burdens while working on his upcoming film "Ransomed."

'Ransomed' Actors Ju Ji Hoon & Ha Jung Woo Attend Press Conference Ahead of Movie Release

On July 13, Ju Ji Hoon, Ha Jung Woo, and Director Kim Sung Hoon were present at the press screening of the new movie "Ransomed," held at Megabox COEX in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The actors and the director reunited with the media to discuss more about the project before its release.

"Ransomed" is an action film that narrates the story of Min Joon, a diplomat who travels to Lebanon to rescue his missing colleague, and Pan Soo, a local taxi driver.

Ha Jung Woo takes the role of Min Joon, as soon as he arrives in Lebanon, he is chased by airport security. Ju Ji Hoon, on the other hand, plays Pan Soo, a taxi driver, and swindler who finds Min Joon irritating but ends up escorting him.

Together, they explore the city and overcome unforeseen challenges to rescue the kidnapped diplomat.

Ju Ji Hoon's character in the film is involved more in reactions than actions, and the actor expressed during the conference that he had enjoyed filming as he played around with Ha Jung Woo and Director Kim.

Ju Ji Hoon Shares Struggles of Driving While Filming 'Ransomed'

The "Princess Hours" star used the chance to share his experience working on the project.

"It was difficult, but it was more exciting than exhausting, so it felt like I had a picnic-like memory with my friend."

Since the actor portrayed the character of a taxi driver, Ju Ji Hoon also mentioned the struggles he had at that time since the priority is everyone's safety.

"As a taxi driver, I was responsible for driving, but there were many unpaved roads, adding to that was the heavy traffic. Driving was not easy."

He also expressed his concerns:

"It was not as intense as 'Fast & Furious,' and everyone paid attention to safety, but I'm not an AI, and I can make mistakes. I felt a lot of pressure since I had to drive with Ha Jung Woo and the director on board."

"Ransomed" is scheduled to release in Korea on August 2.

Ju Ji Hoon is also preparing for a small screen return.

On June 16, Netflix confirmed that the actor, alongside Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Jung Jae Kwang, will headline the medical drama "Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour."

Ju Ji Hoon will transform into a genius traumatologist, Baek Kang Hyuk, with a stubborn personality.
