Go Min Si dished on her experience and more about her character in the star-studded movie "Smugglers."

In her big-screen comeback, the actress plays as one of the lead stars in the soon-to-be released action-crime film. Taking on the role of Madam Go Ok Bun, she is a coffee shop owner and, at the same time, a person who obtains information about smuggling operations.

During the "Smugglers" press conference, the cast shared what to expect and spilled interesting revelations filming the movie.

In a report cited by a news portal, Go Min Si mentioned her transformation for the role.

Just like her fellow cast members, they had to dress up as someone who lived in the 1970s - from the retro hairstyle to makeup to outfit.

As for Go Min Si, makeup and costume weren't enough to portray Go Ok Bun.

In a behind-the-scenes video, the actress was spotted enduring a 2-hour make-up session before doing her scenes. Even her co-star Park Jung Min was surprised at how dedicated Go Min Si was to her character.

Apart from this, she also agreed to shave her brows just to get the notorious thin eyebrow trend.

As seen in most of the still cuts, the 28-year-old actress perfectly pulled off the character Madam Go Ok Bun while sporting thin, high-arching eyebrows.

Although the trend was a huge hit in the 90s, thin eyebrows was popularized in the 70s to help frame heavy eyeliner and bold eyeshadow.

Is 'Smugglers' Worth Watching?

With its cast lineup and teasers, "Smugglers" is among the upcoming films that raises anticipation from viewers. Set to hit the big screen on July 26, the action-crime movie is helmed by "Veteran," "The Battleship," "The Berlin File," "The Unjust," and "Escape from Mogadishu" director Ryu Seung Wan.

Set in the '70s, it depicts the story of two female divers, Chun Ja (Kim Hye Soo) and Jin Sook (Yum Jung Ah) who got laid off at work due to the construction of a chemical factory nearby.

To survive and make ends meet, they became involved in the smuggling ring.

In the movie, Go Ok Bun helps Jo Chun Ja and Jin Sook gather intel about smuggling.

Meanwhile, Jo In Sung plays as Sergeant Kwon, who is dubbed as the national smuggling kingpin.

Joining the "Smugglers" cast is Park Jung Min, who takes on the role of Jang Do Ri, the youngest among the deep sea divers turned smugglers.

Lastly, veteran actor Kim Jong Soo plays as customs officer Lee Jang Chun, who is responsible for catching smugglers.
