'Not Others' Episode 3 Recap

"Not Others" Episode 3 began with Kim Eun Mi, who is set to treat her new client to a therapy session. However, she noticed that the old woman had bruises on her back, causing her to move in pain.

When asked, the grandmother said the bruises were caused by a fall in their kitchen. As soon as Kim Eun Mi asked the old woman regarding her back, she wanted to leave the establishment right away.

There was also a young boy who was looking at the candy jar. Showing her affection to the kid, she gave her a ton of candies, but what surprised her is how the child avoided her as if he were scared.

The incident stayed with her until she came home and explained it to her daughter.

As for Kim Jin Hee and her chief, Eun Jae Won, they visited the grandmother's home to do a welfare check along with social service representatives.

Jin Hee suspected that she was hiding something from them and was being abused by her own son. True enough, as soon as they heard a loud bang upstairs, she and the chief immediately checked on it and saw a young boy hiding.

Jin Hee also saw that the kid had bruises on his back, signaling that he, too, was being abused.

After the police visited the grandmother's home, Kim Eun Mi received a call from the old woman's son, who was threatening to sue her for libel.

Interestingly, other patients also backed them up and ended up at the police station.

On the other hand, one of the highlights of "Not Others" was Kim Eun Mi's role as a mother to Kim Jin Hee. After seeing the abusive son with his grandmother, she recalled the time when she was also beaten by her own father.

She also apologized to Kim Jin Hee for not showing up with an umbrella during the rainy season and confessed that she didn't know what she needed to do because that was also how she was raised.

The third episode showcased the relationship between a mother to her child and the unconditional love she gives them. It's up to them if they will repay their parents' kindness or leave it all behind.
