Kim So Hyun Selected as Park Bo Gum’s Co-Star in New Drama ‘Good Boy’

Viewers might get to see Kim So Hyun and Park Bo Gum team up for an upcoming K-drama. The actress is set for a back-to-back project after being offered to play the female lead in the new drama "Good Boy."

Kim So Hyun Offered to Join Park Bo Gum, Oh Jung Se in 'Good Boy'

According to a media outlet, Kim So Hyun is in talks to join the mystery comedy series. 

The actress' agency, IEUM HASHTAG, confirmed that the 24-year-old beauty is being courted to play one of the lead stars and is positively considering the offer. 

If she officially joins "Good Boy," Kim So Hyun will join not only Park Bo Gum but also "It's Okay Not to Be Okay" star Oh Jung Se.  As for her possible role, the drama officials have yet to announce the character that she will be portraying.

On the other hand, the mystery comedy series is Kim So Hyun's reunion project with "Bring It On, Ghost" screenwriter Lee Dae II after seven years since the K-drama was released.

Meanwhile, "Good Boy" will be directed by Shim Na Yeon of "Beyond Evil" and "The Good Bad Mother."

According to reports, the upcoming K-drama depicts the story of professional athletes who become police officers after joining the Olympic special recruitment. 

From medals and trophies, they will now be wearing police IDs as they deal with offenders, criminals, or basically those who break the law. 

With this, "Good Boy" will highlight a special team called "Olympic Avengers" that handles violent crimes and high-profile cases. 

Kim So Hyun Booked and Busy This 2023

Besides her upcoming K-drama, Kim So Hyun is set to star in multiple projects this year. After a year since her last K-drama, "Love Alarm Season 2" and "River Where the Moon Rises," both in 2021, she returned to the small screen with an interesting project.

The 24-year-old actress headlines the recently premiered K-drama "My Lovely Liar," where she takes on the role of Mok Sol Hee, a woman with extraordinary and supernatural abilities.

Joining her as the lead star is "Alchemy of Souls" star Hwang Min Hyun, who played her love interest, Kim Do Ha. 

Besides the duo, "My Lovely Liar" lead stars also include Seo Ji Hoon and Lee Si Woo. 

The 16-part episode K-drama airs every Monday and Tuesday through tvN and Viki for global viewers. 

On the other hand, Kim So Hyun's new drama after "My Lovely Liar" is the upcoming webtoon-based series "Is It Fate?"

Transforming as Lee Hong Ju, she is a single woman who works as an animation production PD. One thing that hindered her from being in a relationship is her heartbreaking past. Interestingly, she found herself falling in love with Kang Hu Young, played by Chae Jong Hyeop, after meeting him for the first time in 10 years.
