‘Behind Your Touch’ Director Addresses Concerns on Drama’s Harassment Accusations

'Behind Your Touch' Press Conference
Lead stars Han Ji Min, Lee Min Ki, EXO's Suho, and Director Kim Seok Yoon were all present at the online press conference of the upcoming series "Behind Your Touch."
The fantasy-comedy drama presents the story of an upright veterinarian Bong Ye Bun, who has the psychometric ability to see the past of animals and humans by touching their butts, and the passionate, elite detective Moon Jang Yeol, who team up to solve a mysterious case.

The investigative drama occurs in a peaceful yet oddly suspicious village in the countryside. The duo gets involved in a series of murder cases and embarks on an exciting collaboration.
Director Kim Seok Yoon Explains Choosing Han Ji Min & Lee Min Ki as Leads
During the press conference held on August 10. Director Kim explained why he cast Han Ji Min and Lee Min Ki.
According to him, discovering a different side of an actor you already know is a great joy, showcasing the deep trust he has for the two.
"Han Ji Min followed me with trust and made an exceptional performance in playing her role in the diverse and substantial comedy scenes. Her lovable character Bong Ye Bun was perfectly portrayed."
He added that working on the project together was possible due to the bond that they shared. He also praised Lee Min Ki's ability to transform from his previous role and his sustainability for the character.
Kim Seok Yoon Addresses Concerns About Han Ji Min's Character
Meanwhile, on August 9, the upcoming series became a hot topic online as K-netizens raised their concerns about the character's unique ability being potentially suggestive and inappropriate that showed in the trailer.
Regarding this, Director Kim Seok Yoon addressed the issue and assured viewers that they don't need to worry about the drama.
"I have heard such concerns. In my opinion, context is important. Without information about the context before and after, one might receive a different impression. However, there's no need to worry at all. I believe once the drama begins airing, it will dispel such worries. Those doubts and concerns will disappear."
"Behind Your Touch" is scheduled to air this August 12 on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. (KST). It will have its regular episode broadcast every Saturday and Sunday.
