Yoo Hae Jin Shares What It Feels Like Having His First Rom-Com Movie ‘Honey Sweet’
Yoo Hae Jin talks about his new movie "Honey Sweet" and its differences from his previous films.
Best known for his notable character in "Confidential Assignment" seasons 1 and 2, viewers are used to seeing the award winning actor acing his roles in action genres.
Interestingly, he surprised the public after landing the lead role in the rom-com film "Honey Sweet" with Kim Hee Sun.
During his guest appearance on SBS Power FM's "Kim Young Cheol's Power FM", together with his female co-star, Yoo Hae Jin was asked about his experience filming his first ever rom-com project.
Yoo Hae Jin Says Filming 'Honey Sweet' is the 'Happiest' Project for Him
In the interview, as obtained by a news portal, Yoo Hae Jin said that he has done a lot of work in the past, but "Honey Sweet" is very different.
"It seems to be the happiest one," he said of the rom-com film.
Yoo Hae Jin made his debut in 1999, appearing in countless movies, mostly action, crime, and thrillers. Through his 24-year career as an actor, "Honey Sweet" is his rom-com debut, where he and Kim Hee Sun delivered an interesting story about middle-aged romance.

Helmed by "Elegant Lies" and "A Melody to Remember" director Lee Han, the movie depicts the story of a single mother, Il Young (Kim Hee Sun), who juggles being a parent and working full time for a confectionery company.
At work, she unexpectedly got close to colleague Chi Ho (Yoo Hae Jin), who has a strict set routine that he follows every single day.
According to a media outlet, viewers were delighted to see the duo's on-screen chemistry and their comedic acting. Viewers also see Chi Ho as "Yoo Hae Jin himself."
Interestingly, fans get to see "Honey Sweet" as the show's official release is set today, August 15.
Joining the duo as lead stars are Jin Seon Ku and Ha Sun Hwa, along with supporting cast members Cha In Pyo and Jung Da Eun.
Yoo Hae Jin Praises Kim Hee Sun's Professionalism on Set
As the interview with "Kim Young Cheol's Power FM" continues, Yoo Hae Jin reveals his working relationship with Kim Hee Sun.
According to him, it's just laughter all over the set. Besides this, he also mentioned the actress' impressive traits and professionalism.
Describing her as an "amazing" person, the actor said that Kim Hee Sun is always early on the set.
"If you meet at 8 o'clock, she comes at 7:50. I was really surprised," he said, adding, "She came with everything prepared, such as makeup, just so that I could shoot at 8 o'clock."
Kim Hee Sun also starred in hit K-dramas like "Alice," Tomorrow," and Netflix's "Remarriage and Desires."
