After six long weeks, the police force, fire department and the paramedics finally bid their goodbye to their beloved viewers.

Thanks to its gripping narrative and out-of-the-box cases, "The First Responders" successfully spanned for two colorful seasons.

Jin Ho Gae's Final Ending

In the finale begins with Jin Ho Gae's (Kim Rae Won) funeral with everyone in the fire department paying their respects.

Gongmyung Pil (Kang Ki Doong) and the detectives conduct their own investigation when the prosecution office puts the blame on Jin Ho Gae for the murder of Ma Tae Hwa (Lee Do Yeop).

Meanwhile, Dex (Jeon Sung Woo) meets Song Seol (Gong Seung Yeon) at the funeral home where he reveals what he had done, including killing Jin Ho Gae.

In addition, Gongmyung Pil and Kang Do Ha (Oh Eui Shik) find out about Dex's crimes. Before the culprit injects a lethan poison inside Song Seol, Jin Ho Gae arrives.

Jin Ho Gae Makes A Shocking Return

Everyone is shocked after learning that Jin Ho Gae is still alive. Song Seol then takes this as a cue to stab Dex with a knife.

Jin Ho Gae throws the last punch and sends him to jail. Song Seol gets upset with the other for risking his life for her.

At the hospital, the two share a heart fluttering moment as Song Seol grabs Jin Ho Gae, and kisses him with passion.

They finally express their love for one another at long last, and promise to keep each other safe much to the viewers' satisfaction.

Dex Finally Faces Hell

At the court, the judge sentences Dex to life imprisonment for the counts of murder, attempted murder and planting of explosives. He is also taken back to the United States where he pays for his crime.

The season finale maintained its heart-thumping elements from beginning to end, cementing its production as a superior work plot-wise.

"The First Responders 2" provided the audience with an intricately written narrative that sent everyone to the edge of their seats with so much anticipation for what comes next.

Kim Rae Won, Gong Seung Yeon and Son Ho Jun's flawless performances were also lauded by fans and critics all around the world.
