The Killing Vote

"The Killing Vote" episode 8 delivered mind-boggling scenes as Park Hae Jin and Lim Ji Yeon were convinced that they had found the true Gaetal; however, it turned out to be the least expected.

After a 2-week hiatus, viewers truly missed the excitement and thrill brought by the K-drama.

As "The Killing Vote" returns to its regular programming, this raises the question of whether the Nambu Police, headed by Kim Moo Chan, is close to solving the case.

Is 'The Killing Vote' Worth the Hype?

Showing steady ratings since its premiere, "The Killing Vote" depicts the story of the masked man, named by the public as Gaetal, who punishes criminals and evildoers with death.

To execute this, the public needs to vote "yes" or "no" to murdering the target person who managed to escape with his or her crime.

However, since it violates human rights and brings order to the community, the police are investigating the man behind the killing vote and Gaetal.

Park Hae Jin takes on the role of detective Kim Moo Chan, a hot-headed investigation leader who is on the hunt to find Gaetal.

Joining his team is Joo Chan, played by Lim Ji Yeon, head of the cybercrime division.

Meanwhile, Park Sung Woong plays former professor turned prisoner Kwon Seok Joo, whom they believe is the key to finding Gaetal.

'The Kiling Vote' Episode 8

One of the significant highlights in episode 8 is about how the killing vote runs and the number of Gaetals they have.

Initially, the police thought there was only one Gaetal, but it turned out that there were four, one of which is Kim Ji Hoon.

Their mission is to kill people on death row. They believe that the government should spend state money on the citizens instead of the inmates waiting to be executed.

However, a video of Kim Moo Chan was streamed, painting him as the villain for police brutality. Thankfully, Ji Hoon was able to stop the killing vote by disconnecting the servers.

At this point, Lee Min Soo, whom the police thought was the real Gaetal, was within their premise, so this means that he is not the real Gaetal but suspects that he is one of the accomplices.

Due to the incident, Kim Moo Chan was forced to take a leave after the police brutality was brought to light.

At this point, he had done a lot of thinking and solo investigation regarding the case.

Because of the tension in the case, he could still remember the trauma he had when he was in college.

Recalling his mother's brutal death, he sees Joo Chan in his dreams, drenched in blood. Fortunately, it was only a dream. But does his dream mean something in reality?

Going back to the investigation, Park Moo Chan remembered what Joo Hyun found out regarding Kwon Seok Joo. She mentioned that the professor never replied back to Lee Min Soo when he wrote the letter.

At this point, Moo Chan saw the loophole that Gaetal had been Kwon Seok Joo all along.

Joo Chan gets a call from the detective saying that Professor Kwon was gaetal and orchestrated the whole thing while in prison.
