Song Joong Ki gained the public's attention during the stage greeting of his new movie "Hopeless" after showcasing exceptional fan service.

The South Korean top star personally met the audience, which patiently waited for the actor, who graced the stage along with director and cast members Hong Xa Bin and BIBI.

Over Twitter, netizens flooded social media with their interactions with the actor, who gets lauded for his attitude towards fans.

The promotional activities of the new movie "Hopeless" turned into an instant Song Joong Ki fan meet after the actor happily signed and posed for the supporters requests for selfies and signatures.

The 38-year-old actor made sure to interact with his fans and show his appreciation for joining the activities and supporting the movie.

Calling him "Mr. Fan Service" by netizen Song Joong Ki was praised for his humble and nice gestures to his supporters.

In one post, during the "Hopeless" cast's appearance for the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2023, Song Jong Ki was spotted helping the staffers clear the stage.

During their appearance for the Today-Special Premiere section of Korean films, the actor, along with Hong Xa Bin and BIBI, attempted to cover New Jeans' "Hype Boy."

As shared by netizens and various fan sites, Song Joong Ki almost danced to the hit track but got shy and let his co-star BIBI steal the spotlight.

 

Why Song Joong Ki Decide to Appear in 'Hopeless' With No Pay?

Song Joong Ki gets honest about his decision to join "Hopeless" with no guarantee, meaning no pay for his acceptance.

During his talk at the BIFF 2023, he mentioned that for him it was "not a big deal" but felt "embarrassed" because the media "talked about too much."

"I didn't receive any fee because I was worried that the original charm of the work would decrease if my appearance commercialized it," he said, as obtained by Koreaboo.

In a separate report, Song Joong Ki appeared in an episode of Lee Dong Jin's YouTube series, where he once again talked about his no appearance fee for "Hopeless" and said that "things went bigger" than he expected after it.

As mentioned by SBS Star, he will not star in another project without getting paid.

"I'm starting to worry that production companies might want me to star in their movies without getting paid," he said, adding that there have been major changes in his personal life lately since he is now a husband and a father.

"My wife and I just had our baby, which means I'll have to work harder," he added.

Other than "Hopeless," Song Joong Ki also starred in upcoming films like "Bogota: City of Lost" and "My Name Is Loh Kiwan."
