From variety shows to fantasy series to the good old rom-com contents, the new K-dramas this October will surely entice viewers with an amazing lineup.

In addition to that, a slew of top stars will be returning to the small screen, giving fans reason to look forward to every week.

From Bae Suzy to Park Eun Bin, here are two new K-dramas airing this October 2023, plus a list of current series that you should be watching.

'Doona'

Release Date: October 20, 2023

One of the highly anticipated Netflix K-dramas to premiere this October is "Doona."

Headlined by Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong, the romance series is based on the webtoon "The Girl Downstairs," which depicts the unexpected romance of a former celebrity and a college student.

Bae Suzy transforms into a K-pop group lead vocalist named Lee Doona, who chose to leave the spotlight amid the group's fame. Due to this, she decides to live in a shared building where she meets a college student, Lee Won Joon, played by Yang Se Jong.

Despite Lee Doona being mysterious, the two clicked, and their friendship led to a budding romance.

Helmed by "Crash Landing on You," "Criminal Minds," and "Romance is a Bonus Book" director Lee Jeong Hyo, the "Doona" release date is set for October 20.

Viewers get to see the nine-episode series exclusively on Netflix, which will premiere in 190 countries.

'Castaway Diva'

Release Date: October 28

After the K-drama craze caused by "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," Park Eun Bin is back on the small screen with an interesting character in "Castaway Diva."

Taking on the role of Seo Mok Ha, she dreams of becoming a singer. Unfortunately, her lifelong dream was cut short after she went missing. After 15 years, she was rescued on a deserted island and had to face major adjustments to be able to survive in a modern society.

Joining Park Eun Bin as the lead cast are Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Kim Joo Hyeon, and Cha Hak Yeon.

Directed by Oh Choong Hwan, "Hotel Del Luna" and "Start-Up," Park Eun Bin's new drama is scheduled to air on October 28 via TVN, TVING, and Netflix.

Currently Airing: 'The Escape of the Seven'

If you love "The Penthouse: War in Life," then SBS' weekend K-drama "The Escape of the Seven" will get you hooked on every episode. It focuses on the revenge following the disappearance of a high school student at the hands of seven individuals who made her life hell.

Headlined by Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yoo Bi, and more, "The Escape of the Seven" airs every Friday and Saturday through SBS, Wavve, Viki, and Kocowa.

Currently Airing: 'Strong Girl Namsoon'

A spin-off to "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "Strong Girl Namsoon" stars Lee Yoo Mi as Gang Nam Soon, a woman who inherited her family's super strength.

Airing every Saturday and Sunday, the rom-com series also featured Kim Jung Eun and veteran actress Kim Hae Sook as lead stars.

Viewers get to watch new episodes via JTBC and Netflix.
