‘The Escape of the Seven’ Hints at Intense Reunion of Kim So Yeon & Yoon Jong Hoon
"The Escape of the Seven" teases viewers with the special appearance of Kim So Yeon.
Ahead of the show's 9th episode, SBS announced that "The Penthouse" star will be joining the K-drama for a cameo. However, this time, the broadcast network dropped still cuts featuring the actress.
From the creators of "The Penthouse," the thriller-crime K-drama "The Escape of the Seven" focuses on the revenge following the disappearance of a high school student who gets caught up in the lies, ambition, and tragedy of the people around her.
The Makjang series is headlined by Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Yoo Bi, Lee Joon, Shin Eun Kyung, Jo Yoon Hee, Yoon Jong Hoon, and Jo Jae Yoon."
Interestingly, this is the third project together of director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok after working on "The Last Empress" and "The Penthouse" trilogy.

Ahead of the much-awaited return of the thriller crime K-drama, SBS unveils a new teaser as they introduce Kim So Yeon's character.
The award-winning actress takes on the role of Ryu Hong Joo, Cherry Entertainment's top actress.
In the series, Yang Jin Mo, played by Yoon Jong Hoon, is the CEO of Cherry Entertainment.
As seen on the still cuts, Ryu Hong Joo and the CEO had an intense encounter, sparking curiosity about what kind of connection they had.
It can be recalled that Yoon Jong Hoon played on-screen lover of Kim So Yeon in "The Penthouse" and with the special cameo, viewers are surely thrilled the watch the duo reunite in a new show with completely different atmosphere.
According to the actress, she is happy to film her scenes with familiar faces, especially Yoon Jong Hoon.
"I filmed enjoyably, and it felt so welcoming to see the staff I worked together on 'The Penthouse' with as well as actor Yoon Jong Hoon for the first time in a long while," she said, as obtained by a news outlet.
Moreover, Kim So Yeon also mentioned that she's a fan of the show and tuned in to "The Escape of the Seven" every week.
What to Expect in 'The Escape of the Seven' Episode 9
Things are getting intense as the series jumps into the second half of the season.
After learning that Chairman Bang Chil Sung is still alive, the seven find their way to end things with him. Interestingly, one of them was an ally of Matthew Lee, and thanks to Min Do Hyuk, they were able to escape from the viscous plan of the seven.
Unfortunately, Chairman Bang chose not to leave the area after seeing Bang Da Mi's remains. The incident is devastating to Matthew Lee, especially how he is grateful for Chairman Bang, who helped him set his grand revenge.
In the upcoming episodes, Matthew Lee's eagerness to finish the seven might escalate, especially now that he is grieving for the loss of Chairman Bang.
Viewers could also expect more interaction between Matthew Lee and Min Do Hyuk after it was revealed that he is working for him.
