The actress transformed into an ex-bodyguard who goes on a hunt to avenge the death of her best friend, a ballerina who suffers at the hands of a sex trafficking syndicate.

Jeon Jong Seo's "Ballerina" boasted its greatly choreographed fighting scenes, engrossing music score and cinematography. The chemistry between the actors is also a factor to watch for.

'Jung E'

Kim Hyun Joo reinvented herself after she transformed into a mercenary in the dystopian film "Jung E" earlier this 2023.

She showed off her acquired skill in martial arts and weapon-handling as a war leader and a cyborg who puts an end to the civil war.

The film earned high praises from viewers and critics around the world, and even topped the Netflix charts after a day of its premiere.

'Unlocked'

Im Siwan cemented his name as a "thriller superstar" with the film "Unlocked" where he portrayed a psychopath serial killer.

Also starring Chun Woo Hee, "Unlocked" tells how a woman's life turns upside down after losing her phone containing all her personal information, and falls into the wrath of an unhinged killer.

With its timely and relevant premise, the film became the most streamed work on Netflix with more than 500,000 viewing hours on the day of its release.

'Kill Boksoon'

Jeon Do Yeon flaunted her fighting skills as a serial killer for hire in her titular film "Kill Boksoon." The veteran star showed a never-before-seen side of herself through the work, which appealed to the viewers around the globe.

In addition, the unconventional plot of the film also won over the hearts of many. Up until now, "Kill Boksoon" is one of the most streamed South Korean releases on Netflix.
