Lee Dong Wook Opens Up About His Life Status: ‘I feel like my love cells are dying’

Lee Dong Wook & Im Soo Jung Attend 'Single in Seoul' Press Conference

On November 3, Lee Dong Wook alongside onscreen partner Im Soo Jung attended the media presscon for their movie "Single in Seoul." Other stars who joined them are Jang Hyun Sung, Lee Mi Do, and Ji Yi Soo. Director Park Bum Soo also sat down to answer some questions about the movie. 

"Single in Seoul" is a realistic love story of a famous influencer who enjoys being alone and an editor-in-chief who hates being alone. As their paths cross while working on a project together, romantic feelings start to develop.

Lee Dong Wook takes the role of Young Ho, an essayist, and influencer, and Im Soo Jung is Hyun Jin, the EIC of their publishing company. 

Director Park Bum Soo Reveals Reason Behind Casting Lee Dong Wook & Im Soo Jung

During the interview session, Director Park Bum Soo revealed that most of the stars in the movie were single.

"At first, other characters didn't set them as single, but when I saw the title, I thought it didn't matter if they were all single." He revealed that after seeing Lee Dong Wook and Lim Soo Jung in one drama, even though it was just a short scene, the director immediately cast the two as some viewers wanted to see them together in a project.

Lee Dong Wook Expresses His Desire to Meet Good Person

As the interview progressed, Lee Dong Wook and Im Soo Jung revealed their real-life status. 

Lee Dong Wook caught the interest of the crowd after he said, "I feel like my love cells are dying. I am lonely, I want to meet a good person."

He elaborated that he already got used to being alone, "I got used to a life that was not disturbed by anyone."

The "My Girl" actor said that there are a lot of realistic stories in the movie that people can easily relate to. He also remarked that he was like the real character in his movie. 

The heartthrob added, "I am trying to keep my house neat, in a way that resembles Young Ho's character. If I don't clean, no one will do it."

Meanwhile, opposite to him who is already used to being alone, Im Soo Jung confessed that she hates being alone. But she realized that it's okay to be alone because it's been a long time since she has been single. 

However, she revealed that if she wants to be close to someone, Im Soo Jung would be straightforward and actively express her feelings to that someone.
