Shin Min Ah opened up about her personal life and how her reputation or image affected her friendship.

During her appearance on Jung Jae Hyung's YouTube show, the South Korean top star bared it all about her life behind the spotlight.

Shin Min Ah Says Being Homebody, Non-Drinker Affects Her Friendship

There's no denying that the 39-year-old actress is one of the most sought-after stars in her generation.

From delivering hit K-dramas one after the other to starring in back-to-back projects, there's no doubt why Shin Min Ah has maintained her career throughout the years.

On the other hand, her busy schedule and reserved attitude could sometimes affect her relationships with others.

During her casual interview with Jung Jae Hyung, the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star said that her image as a homebody person sometimes worries her.

When asked about friends in the industry, Shin Min Ah mentioned that she has a group of celebrity friends.

However, the host mentioned that Shin Min Ah spent most of her time at home, to which the actress explained the reason behind it.

"I do meet people, you know. And I try to go for walks as much as I can."

Unfortunately, people would sometimes not invite her to social gatherings because she is not a drinker and is known for being a homebody.

"I don't drink, and folks who enjoy drinking refer to me as a homebody. Because I don't drink, people don't ask me to come to gatherings, saying things like, 'Oh, but Shin Min Ah doesn't drink.'

'I can just hang out in the bar with people without drinking, but nobody ever calls me! At some point, people stopped expecting me to show up."

Shin Min Ah Makes Silver Screen Comeback With 'Our Season'

Three years after the 2020 movie "Diva," Shin Min Ah stars in the upcoming movie "Our Season" together with veteran actress Kim Hae Sook.

Helmed by Yook Sang Hyo of the movie "He's on Duty," the film depicts the story of a woman named Bang Jin Joo, played by Shin Min Ah, who owns a Korean restaurant and uses her late mother's cooking recipe. Jin Joo's late mother, Park Bok Ja, is played by Kim Hae Sook.

Scheduled to hit theaters on December 6, "Our Season" will also feature "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" star Kang Ki Young as the guide.

During the press conference, Shin Min Ah described her new film as "a beautiful and lovely film that honestly expresses the universal emotion of mother-daughter love in a fantasy setting."
