Ahead of the release of her new film "Our Season," Shin Min Ah sat for an exclusive interview with the media and discussed more about the project.
The fantasy drama film "Our Season" tells the miraculous moment of a mother spending time with her daughter on a 3-day vacation from heaven.
Shin Min Ah plays the role of a daughter, Bang Jin Joo. About her character, the actress talked about her real experience with her mom and how it changed after finishing the film.
"Different from the movie, I don't have the typical mother-daughter relationship with my mom, we are more like friends." However, the way she realizes that she has more of those normal typical daughter feelings toward her mother, "I feel like I innately had those feelings, and the film just helped me to get them out."

As she described her bond with her mom, the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star said, "My mom has a distinct personality, which is really different from the other mothers." She recalled inviting her to the VIP premiere of her movie and instead of asking common questions, Shin Min Ah's mother gave her comments about her appearance in the movie and during the VIP event.
Shin Min Ah added that her mom finally met veteran actress Kim Hae Sook, who plays her mother in "Our Season."
"I introduced her to Kim Hae Sook and at that time, Kim Hae Sook jokingly said to my mom, 'You know, I might have to steal your daughter from you." Interestingly, the actress' mother just replied, "Oh, you go ahead. Take her."

As the interview continued, Shin Min Ah compared her character's actions of showing love to her mother. The "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" star stated that unlike Bang Jin Joo, who has a hard time expressing her feelings, Shin Min Ah is always expressive to her mom.

The Korean star shared that her mom doesn't call me, more often she's the one calling her mom. She also treats her well and humbly calls herself a good daughter. Due to this, she candidly mentioned wanting a daughter who is exactly like her in the future.
"I give my mom everything she wants. As long as she's happy, I don't care about the price. I never cared about the price, my mom's happiness comes first." Then she continued, "Let me be honest, I would love to have a daughter like myself."
