‘Tell Me You Love Me’ Episode 3: Jung Woo Sung Slowly Avoids Shin Hyun Bin

The drama follows the love story of Cha Jin Woo, a deaf artist, and an aspiring actress, Jung Mo Eun.

'Tell Me You Love Me' Episode 3: Cha Jin Woo's Past Trauma Revealed

In the released episode, viewers had glimpses of the childhood trauma that Cha Jin Woo suffered from. It was revealed that he was not deaf at birth but was diagnosed with a hearing disability during his adulthood due to a severe fever.

He grew up in an orphanage. Despite the challenges he faced throughout his life, he didn't give in to his shortcomings.

Instead, Cha Jin Woo developed an incredible visual observation ability, which made him a recognized and talented painter.

Despite the success he received as an artist, he still has insecurities and deep-rooted trauma from the past. He built a wall around himself and refused to display emotional bonds with others.

As the story progressed, after meeting and spending time with Jung Mo Eun, Cha Jin Woo developed a fondness for an emotional connection with her.

Since he grew up being distant from others, he is afraid that he might end up hurting her if they get closer.

Cha Jin Woo Decides to Distance Himself From Jung Mo Eun

Cha Jin Woo started to distance himself from her. When Jung Mo Eun visited him at his studio to invite him to another music concert, Jin Woo drew a line between them.

Through writing in his notebook, Jin Woo expressed his thoughts that not just because he can feel music does not mean likes it. He further explained that he would always be there for Jung Mo Eun if she needed his help.

He wanted her to enjoy the good things with someone else, with whom she does not have to be considerate most of the time. Due to what he said, Mo Eun was emotionally affected and understood that Jin Woo wanted to distance himself from her.

Jung Mo Eun Asks for Cha Jin Woo's Help

Before the episode concluded, Jung Mo Eun went to an acting audition.

Unfortunately, it was hard for her to do the task, which made her feel miserable. She left the audition with a broken heart and sent Jin Woo a message, reminding him of his promise to be there when she needed him.

Later on, he arrived and accompanied her at her lowest moment.
