2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards Named 'The Glory' & Lim Ji Yeon as Winners
This year's Asian Academy Creative Awards, which happened on December 7 and took place in Singapore finally named all the winners. As a background, the awards are organized by the Asian Academy of Creative Arts in collaboration with the Asia Television Forum and Market (ATF) in the said country.
AACA already has a unique image, which was established to honor creative excellence and serve as a peer-judged pinnacle of achievement in content creation, media production, and performance that exhibited impeccable talents from the entertainment industry.
Among the hit series produced, Song Hye Kyo's "The Glory" won the Best Drama Series. Adding to its achievement is female star Lim Ji Yeon, who bagged the Best Supporting Actress Award.

"The Glory" became one of the most talked about K-dramas this 2023 and received global popularity during and after its release. It follows the story of a woman who had no choice but to drop out of school due to the bullying she endured at the hands of her classmates. After part 1, it was followed by part 2, which eventually became a global hit and accumulated 1.2 billion minutes of viewership three years after it was aired.
Netflix's 'The Glory' Achieves Non-Stop Success
Song Hye Kyo's series not only topped the Netflix Global Top 10 for the Non-English TV category but also secured the overall top position across English and non-English shows worldwide.
The new award-winning actress, Lim Ji Yeon made a noteworthy performance in this drama where she played a villain, named Park Yeon Jin. Her historic acting immediately caught the attention of many and praised her for her outstanding portrayal.
Meanwhile, "The Glory" is one of Studio Dragon's produced content and it is the second time that the production company's released product was recognized in an international awarding show.
To recall, tvN series starring Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk, which also received recognition among international fans, was crowned the Best Drama Series at the 2022 AACA. "Our Blues" won the Best Screenplay, and "Yumi's Cells" bagged the Best OTT Original Award in 2022.
