For "Maestra: Strings of Truth" episode 2, the show garnered an average nationwide rating of 4.8 percent, an increase from its previous episode of 4.2 percent.

After getting interrupted by Yoo Jeong Jae by hitting a fire alarm, she pretended not to know him.
The flashback also featured the young Jeong Jae saving Cha Sae Eum from drowning, which became the start of their friendship. However, as their bond got deeper, they developed mutual feelings.
Meanwhile, Kim Pil got curious about Yoo Jeong Jae after a common friend, Lee Hye Jung, mentioned his name without Cha Sae Eum out for a story.
One of the significant stories in episode 2 is how the orchestra values seniority over skills.
It was after the members talked about Lee Luna that she managed to continue her love for music, making her the new orchestra master.
However, to help her grasp her position, Cha Sae Eum asked her former teacher and the previous orchestra master to help Lee Luna get motivated and study the technical part of the decision-making process.

Interestingly, Lee Luna seemed thrilled after learning a thing or two about the orchestra.
A few days later, Cha Sae Eum learned that Yoo Jeing Jae had canceled the upcoming performances. According to him, he wanted Sae Eum to return, and gave an option to continue the orchestra and perform on one condition - to get a divorce.
Of course, she refused the offer since he is happily married to Kim Pil. Unfortunately, the text messages would change her life.
Lee Ahn Jin texted Cha Sae Eum to floor number that she needed to check and found out about him cheating.
Cha Sae Eum couldnt help but stare at her husband, leaving her stunned but Yoo Jeong Jae saved her from a possible humilitaion.
