Yoo Teo Returns to Netflix With American Series 'The Recruit' Season 2

In a news cited by a media outlet on December 21, K-drama actor Yoo Teo is accelerating his activities in the American Entertainment industry as it was announced that he will appear in the Netflix series "The Recruit" Season 2.

It was reported that he is expected to play as the main protagonist in the second installment of the series.

"The Recruit" features the events that unfold about a rookie lawyer at the CIA who is entangled in a dangerous world of spies. In the play, Yoo Teo takes the role of Jang Gyun, a genius and humorous agent of the Korean National Intelligence Service, who fights without sacrificing himself to protect the people he cherishes.

This will be Yoo Teo's first major project in 2024. The actor has been amassing global popularity, thanks to his back-to-back dramas and movies.

'Past Lives' & Yoo Teo Earn International Success

He headlined the film "Past Lives" which was nominated and invited to some of the prestigious award ceremonies.

In particular, it started the Oscar race. Yoo Teo began the award relay by winning the Best Picture Award and Best New Artist at the Gotham Awards and New York Film Critics Association Awards, respectively.

Now that he is moving forward in his career in Hollywood and receiving global recognition, attention is also focused on whether Yoo Teo's award-winning movie "Past Lives" will also be nominated in major categories at the Golden Globe Awards.

'Love to Hate You' is Yoo Teo's Best Rom-Com K-Drama Yet

Apart from this, the 42-year-old actor became the talk of the town with his Netflix drama "Love To Hate You," where he collaborated with veteran actress Kim Ok Vin. Their unexpected collaboration received an enthusiastic response from the viewers, and the series also gained recognition in other foreign countries.

Yoo Teo played the character of Nam Kang Ho, a top star actor who returned to Korea and debuted as an actor, after studying abroad.

As of this writing, the actor has no confirmed K-drama project yet as he is focused on his blossoming career in Hollywood.
