Lee Jong Suk & Go Min Si Cancel Participation in Lee Eun Bok's Drama 'I'm Against My Romance'
Based on a news cited by a media outlet on December 26, Lee Jong Suk and Go Min Si confirmed that they will no longer appear in the upcoming series "I'm Against My Romance."
"I'm Against My Romance" features the story of an ex-lover whose reunion is still unknown whether it is an extension of their past romance or the beginning of a new relationship.
The romance series is the new work by director Lee Eung Bok, the creative mind behind the hit dramas "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" and "Sweet Home." Studio Dragon, the production behind big dramas such as "Vincenzo," "Alchemy of Souls," and "Twenty Five, Twenty One" is expected to handle the soon-to-release project.
Previously, Go Min Si and Choi Hyun Wook were courted to headline the drama. Unfortunately, the young actor declined the offer due to conflicts in schedules, which led to reports that K-drama romance master Lee Jong Suk was stepping in as the male protagonist.

However, after hyping the crowd with their possible collaboration, the reports already confirmed that Lee Jong Suk and Go Min Si's tandem will no longer happen as they have decided not to appear in "I'm Against My Romance."
The production is now back to the drawing board for casting new stars.
Studio Dragon Denies Rumors of Cancelling 'I'm Against My Romance' Production
In addition, there were speculations that there might be a possible cancellation of the drama's production. But Studio Dragon immediately released a statement clarifying that the issue was not true.
"The rumors of the production being canceled are groundless. We are currently in the process of casting."
Furthermore, this is supposed to be Lee Jong Suk's comeback drama following his last project "Big Mouth," which concluded in September 2022. He also made his silver screen return through the action-adventure movie "Decibel."
On the other hand, Go Min Si recently met the viewers with her new series "Sweet Home" Season 2, which premiered on Netflix. The actress is expected to meet the audience again in the third installment of the said series.
In addition, the actress is confirmed to appear in another Netflix thriller series "Alone in the Woods," which is set to hit the small screen sometime in 2024.
As of now, the "I'm Against My Romance" team is still in the process of casting and once the actors are finalized, the production will begin filming in earnest.
