After months of discussion, Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young will officially star in the upcoming K-drama "The Judge From Hell."

On December 29, SBS announced that the duo will headline the new romance-fantasy drama. According to Yonhap News, Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young star as the main characters of the soon-to-be-released "The Judge from Hell."

Helmed by "Brave Citizen" and "If You Were Me" director Park Jin Pyo, the upcoming series depicts the story of a devil named Kang Bit Na, played by Park Shin Hye, who entered a judge's body.

Amid her stunning beauty, intimidating aura, and elite background, she is a demon on the mission, which is to punish criminals and send them to hell.

Without showing any remorse, she is responsible for the deaths of these criminals, who committed grave sins and had to pay the price in hell.

To do this, she meets a warm-hearted detective named Han Da On, portrayed by Kim Jae Young. He works at the violent crimes unit and is known for his exceptional observation skills.

However, Han Da On secretly hides a painful emotion that he harbors.

Meanwhile, SBS is yet to confirm the release date of Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young's new drama, but it will surely join new dramas airing in 2024.

What's Next for Park Shin Hye?

After 3 years since her last K-drama, "Sisyphus: The Myth," Park Shin Hye is back with two upcoming K-dramas in 2024.

Other than the fantasy series "The Judge From Hell," the 33-year-old actress stars in the new K-drama "Doctor Slump."

She will team up with South Korean heartthrob Park Hyung Sik, and they will portray the main characters of the rom-com medical series.

Directed by Oh Hyun Jong of "Two Cops" and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," the upcoming series is penned by Baek Sun Woo, who is the genius behind the hit K-dramas "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" and "My Roommate Is a Gumiho."

In "Doctor Slump," Park Shin Hye takes on the role of Nam Ha Neul, who works as an anesthesiologist and is often called "genius."

She is also the toughest rival of Yeo Jeong Woo, played by Park Hyung Sik, a straight-A student at the top-notch medical school.

Park Shin Hye's new drama is scheduled to hit the small screens on January 27 via JTBC and Netflix.

What's Next for Kim Jae Young?

The model-turned-actor appeared as a supporting cast member in "Hello Monster" and "100 Days My Prince," but also headlined dramas "Reflection of You" and "Love in Contract."

As for Kim Jae Young's new drama other than "The Judge from Hell," he is slated to join the cast of the webtoon-based series "I'll Take the Trip for You" with Gong Seung Yeon and Yoo Joon Sang.
