‘My Happy Ending’ Episode 1: Jang Nara Faces Betrayal by Her Loved Ones + Drama Kicks Off With Promising Start

Airing every Saturday and Sunday, the psychological thriller series kicked off with a promising start.
In a report, Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 2.6 percent, a promising start for a pilot episode.
Viewers get to watch the new series via TV Chosun, TVING, Viki, and Wavve.
'My Happy Ending' Episode 1
The episode began with Seo Jae Won facing a dark nightmare after she runs away from someone but ends up being thrown into a bridge.
The scene was followed by the female CEO in a different setting, doing an interview for her company, Dereve, a furniture company that Seo Jae Won built from scratch.
She was introduced as a dedicated entrepreneur who struggles to balance her work and family.
Despite this, she has a loving husband, Heo Soon Young, who is often left with her daughter along with her father, who is dear to her heart.
However, episode 1 showcased a fast-paced scene after Seo Jae Won found herself in a life-and-death situation.

Her stalker, who has been watching her for seven years, visited her inside her office.
It was after the mysterious person got offended after the CEO threw the present that the stalker sent at her office.
With everyone gone, leaving only Seo Jae Won at the office, the mysterious man broke into her room, causing her to panic.
She couldn't use any devices because the person managed to cut the connection, leaving Jae Won with no one to help her.
Thankfully, a person from the office came, causing the stalker to run away.
As the police came, they asked if there were any CCTVs at the office but were told that all the closed-circuit television was under upgrade. The police officer warned Seo Jae Won that someone in the office might be the suspect.
Due to this, suspicion grew over Seo Jae Won, and the person she suspects is Yoon Tae. That is, after she traced the parking ticket left at her office and found out that the car belonged to him.
Apart from the incident at her office, Seo Jae Won met the insurance officer Nam Tae Ho, who asked her questions regarding her late mother and Seo Chang Seok, her stepfather.
Tae Ho suspects that her father is involved with the death of Jae Won's mother, and that is because of the insurance claims that he might receive.
At first, Seo Jae Won defended her father, but as the facts sank in, she became suspicious of him.
From the office incident to her father, another crisis that hit Seo Jae Won was with her husband, Heo Soon Young.
After getting a hunch about her husband's whereabouts, Jae Won tried to open his phone and found that he was set to meet someone.
She was able to trace his location and find out that he and her best friend, Kwon Yun Jin, are having an affair.
With this, Seo Jae Won is torn about who to trust at this point.
In the last scene of "My Happy Ending," she was attacked by her stalker. As she floats into the water, she promises herself to take revenge and make them feel the pain that she felt.
