Lee Dong Wook Reveals Honest Reason for Having Drastic Hairstyle Change
Lee Dong Wook talked about his hair transformation as the actor opted for a major switch.
In a video uploaded by his agency, King Kong by Starship, a video, titled "20231217: Remember... The guilty man Lee Dong-wook of that day...", revealed the reason behind the star's silver hair.
Lee Dong Wook Explains Hair Transformation
The public often sees Lee Dong Wook in dapper and sleek looks - from high-end clothing to black and tie outfits to casual looks. However, the "Bad and Crazy" star usually maintains a dark hair color.
As 2023 closed, the South Korean heartthrob chose to spice things up and went from black to silver hair color.
In one scene from the video, a staff member asked the actor the reason behind his huge hair transformation.
But for Lee Dong Wook, he just got tired of his old 'do.
"I just did it without any particular reason. I just did it. I'm tired of black hair."
He then explained that he finds the color mysterious and did it for a change.
"This hair color is very mysterious. Silver, gold, and blue are all mixed together. The color keeps changing depending on the light."
Prior to the video being released by Lee Dong Wook's agency, the actor posted a sneak peek of this on social media.
On his Instagram, he shared a series of Polaroid photos flaunting his silver hair, along with a message thanking the audience for joining the fan meeting and showing huge support for him.
However, Lee Dong Wook's hair transformation gained mixed reactions from the public.
While some see this as his way of embracing his K-pop idol era, others seemed unimpressed with how the actor opted for a change in hairstyle.
The comments section on Lee Dong Wook's Instagram also featured opinions from his followers, saying that the silver hair doesn't suit him or that it makes him look old, while others trolled the actor and said that it reminds them of the character in "Flower of Evil."

Starting 2024 with a bang, the actor headlines the soon-to-be released K-drama "A Shop for Killers."
Based on the movie "Sarinjaui Syopingmol," it is an action-thriller-mystery series that depicts the story of a woman who receives a phone call from authorities informing her about her uncle's "suicide."
Slated to premiere on January 17, Lee Dong Wook's new drama also stars Kim Hye Joon and is directed by Lee Kwon of "Save Me" season 2.
In addition to the actor's upcoming K-dramas, he will also star in the thriller rom-com "The Good Man."
