Gong Hyo Jin’s Husband Kevin Oh Surprises the Actress With Sweet Gift Before Enlistment
Gong Hyo Jin's husband, Kevin Oh, made sure to leave the actress pleased as he enlisted for mandatory military service.
The singer-songwriter's agency, T Cask ENT, announced that he quietly enlisted in early December.
The label explained that the 33-year-old musician plans to "expand his musical activities based in Korea."
In addition, he also enlisted in the military after renouncing his U.S. citizenship in hopes of "forming a stable family with his wife in Korea."
As for his enlistment, he made sure not to leave Gong Hyo Jin sad and prepared something special for his wife.
Gong Hyo Jin Dishes on Kevin Oh's Present Before Enlistment
Gong Hyo Jin appeared in "Yoo Quiz on the Block," where she was asked about her married life and an update regarding Kevin Oh's enlistment.
Hosted by comedians Yoo Jae Seok and Jo Se Ho, the award-winning actress revealed that her main concern is being alone while her husband finishes his mandatory service.
Moreover, Gong Hyo Jin admitted that he was saddened by the situation but, at the same time, understood that it was part of being a citizen.
"He is now at the training camp. Two nights have passed since he left, and I've been up all those nights in tears."

In addition, Gong Hyo Jin confessed that the feeling is quite new to her and that she has been "feeling confused" and worried since Kevin Oh left.
However, the singer-songwriter arranged something special for his wife to make her feel as if he were with her.
"I've been feeling very lonely in the early evening. But you know what? He left emails for me and set them to be sent every day at 10 a.m. I was so surprised when I got the email. It felt like I was in a movie."
According to the actress, Kevin Oh told her that she will be receiving emails every day at a specific time, which is 10 a.m.
"I couldn't help but wonder if he's always been this good at organizing romantic events."
Gong Hyo Jin also mentioned that he might have been preparing this and had been writing the emails "for two to three days before he left."
The actress also recalled her husband, who was writing a lot, and even asked him if he was working on a memoir.
Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh tied the knot in October 2022.
The celebrity couple got married in New York, U.S.A., surrounded by their families, relatives, and close friends, including Jung Ryeo Won and Uhm Ji Won.

Adding to the list of Gong Hyo Jin's new dramas is Netflix's "Queen of the Scene."
Starring Park Ha Sun, the fantasy comedy series depicts the story of a Korean drama writer who became known for creating makjang series.
However, she unexpectedly finds herself trapped in her own story.
"Queen of the Scene" is also slated to air this year.
