‘My Demon’ Episode 12: Did Song Kang Make Deal With Kim Yoo Jung’s Parents?

Jung Gu Won (Song Kang) remembered his past life with Woshim (Kim Yoo Jung) and revealed a shocking connection to her parents in "My Demon" episode 12.

'My Demon' Episode 12: Jung Gu Won Falls Inlove With Woshim

The episode began with Jung Gu Won's memories, where it was revealed that he used to be the son of a well-respected family. One day he took a break from studying and met a beautiful girl, Do Hee was mesmerized while watching her dance with swords in the forest. 

She noticed him and became wary of his presence and left without disclosing her identity. Later on, from his servant, Gu Won learned her name is Woshim and a courtesan who recently moved to the village. 

Since then, Jung Gu Won started to pretend to study in her dancing spot and looked at her while she danced. Soon, they both became attracted to each other. One day, he risked his life to get her shoe that fell off the cliff and became closer than ever. He expressed his love for her, but Woshim reminded him that they came from different worlds and could never be together.

Jung Gu Won then discovered Catholicism, where everyone is equal, and inspired Woshim to follow catholic teachings with him. Sadly, this news reached his father. He left the village for work, but before leaving, he gave his cross locket to Woshim, promising never to forget her. 

Jung Gu Won Commits Big Sins and Kills Himself for Love

Elsewhere, tension escalated between the villagers, due to the spread of Catholicism. To stop the influence, many were killed, and that's when Gu Won's father decided to sacrifice only one person so their entire village could be saved. 

Woshim was caught as the only Catholic in the village. She was asked about the origin of her locket, but refused to disclose Gu Won's name and sacrificed herself for him. Jung Gu Won came to save Woshim but it was too late. After seeing his love die, he mercilessly killed everyone and committed suicide. Jung Gu Won then woke up and realized his dream.

He told Do Do Hee about his past, having a lover but omitted her identity as Woshim. He went to God and angrily confronted her about how she had treated him badly when he believed in her in his past life. She refused the accusations and told him he was the one who chose his life, and fate had brought him and Do Do Hee together because their sad outcome might happen again. 

Doh Kyung Found Dead

Meanwhile, Se Ra visited her son in jail. His son confronted her about his father's abuses but she did nothing, instead, she blamed her son for not following him. Do Kyung was enraged and later found dead in his cell. Do Hee was shocked about it and got suspicious of Seok Min's behavior. 

Did Jung Gu Won Make Deal With Do Do Hee's Parents?

While Ga Young was performing, Jung Gu Won remembered his past life and got emotional, and Do Do Hee asked him about it. He told her how he became the reason his lover died in the past and was afraid that it might happen again in the present. But Do Do Hee reassured him that she could only suffer if she was without him, and the demon promised to never face the same tragic fate with her in this life. 

Before the episode ended, there was a shocking revelation where Madam Ju saw someone at the scene of Do Do Hee's parents' death whom she called the devil all her life. That happened to be Jung Gu Won, who likely made a deal with Do Hee's parents, and due to that, the accident happened, and he collected their souls.
