Kim Tae Ri Recalls Bad First Impression of ‘Alienoid 2’ Co-Star Ryu Jun Yeol
"Alienoid 2" cast Kim Tae Ri and Ryu Jun Yeol took a trip down memory lane as they recalled the first time they'd met each other.
While some had unforgettable first encounters, the actress revealed that she had a bad first impression of the "Reply 1988" star.
In an episode on PD Na Young Seok's YouTube channel, "Alienoid 2," cast Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, and Kim Woo Bin dished on their first encounter with each other and experiences filming the movie.
Here's What Happened to Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri's First Encounter
"Alienoid" is Kim Tae Ri and Ryu Jun Yeol's second project together. The first is back in 2018, when they headlined the drama film "Little Forest" with Jin Ki Joo, Moon So Ri, and more.
According to Kim Tae Ri, she had a hard time connecting with Ryu Jun Yeol when they first met.
"Everything he said seemed like a lie to me. It made me curious. I thought Ryu Jun Yeol was hiding behind a mask and was determined to find out what was behind it one day," she added, causing laughter among cast members and PD Na.

However, Ryu Jun Yeol explained his side and pointed out their differences.
"At first, she asked me some questions. Since we both debuted around the same time, we had similar concerns and made the same mistakes."
The actor also mentioned that after he and Kim Tae Ri spent time together and talked a lot, this is where they realized how different their personalities were.
While Ryu Jun Yeol described himself as someone who is "pretty laid-back" and "rarely gets nervous," his "Alienoid 2" co-star is different, adding that she "has a lot on her mind."
Interestingly, this is where the actor recalled the time he unintentionally annoyed the actress.
"Kim Tae Ri later told me she was quite annoyed after talking to me for the first time. I remember her telling me, 'I'm nervous about doing this. Don't you feel the same way?' and I replied, 'But why? Isn't it simply a matter of following these steps?'"
Instead of explaining her side, the award-winning actress corrected Ryu Jun Yeol and said that it was the way he said it that bothered her.
"It felt like you were saying, 'There's nothing in this world that can make me anxious,'" she shared, adding that the actor was giving off a different vibe at the time.
'Alienoid 2' Cast & Release Date
After the success of the movie's Part 1, Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Kim Woo Bin reprised their roles in "Alienoid 2."
Joining a mix of returning and new cast members, the sequel includes Honey Lee, So Ji Sub, Yeom Jung Ah, Kim Eui Sung, and more.
Following the high anticipation from viewers, fans got to see "Alienoid 2" in theaters on January 10.
