Netflix K-Content Lineup 2024: 'Hellbound 2', 'Resident Playbook', More To Premiere This Year

Netflix released a preview of highly anticipated K-dramas coming in 2024.

From sequels to original contents to movies and K-dramas, the streaming giant got viewers covered with exciting projects.

As mentioned by a news outlet, Netflix Korea's vice president of content teases fans about how the platform aims to share "unforgettable experiences through series, films, or innovative unscripted shows."

"Our K-Content lineup delivers a diverse array of titles that capture the true essence of Korean storytellers."

With this, Netflix revealed the K-dramas and movies, as well as the much-awaited team-ups of actors, coming this 2024. 

The Sequels

2022 and 2023 delivered a slew of show-stopping and remarkable K-content, and Netflix continues to entertain the audience by sustaining their excitement.

Fan-favorites like "Hellbound 2" will officially premiere in the second half of the year.

The same goes for Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon's K-drama "Gyeongseong Creature" Season 2, which follows the journey of the duo in the present time.

Of course, after dropping the second season in 2022, "Sweet Home" Season 3 is set to give viewers an unforgettable summer, as the Netflix Original will premiere in the first half of 2024.

Lastly, the highly-anticipated return of "Squid Game" will happen sometime this year, featuring the new and original cast members.

The Reality Shows

If K-dramas excites viewers, Netflix turns the heat up with the much awaited comeback of reality shows.

After the successful first season in 2023, the platform introduces "Physical: 100 Season 2 Underground," which will debut in the first quarter.

Viewers can expect a bigger and better season with the new concept of underground mines from the 1950s to the 1960s in the second installment.

Furthermore, producer Jang Ho Gi previously mentioned in a press event that the show's goal is to "look very different from the first season."

As for the contestants, the producer hints that there will be more females and mixed body types for the upcoming season.

"More than 30 of the 100 contestants are current or former athletes from national sports teams, and more female contestants have entered the competition."

Meanwhile, reality dating show "Single's Inferno" is back with season 4 and will be released in the fourth quarter of the year.

The Netflix Originals

Another exciting news from Netflix is the upcoming release of the original series. The long wait is over for fans as new team-ups and series are coming in 2024.

Starting the year with a solid start are the historical K-dramas "Captivating the King" and "The Bequeathed."

Netflix also dropped the release date of Choi Woo Shik and Son Seok Koo's "A Killer Paradox," which will be on February 9.

Meanwhile, "Queen of Tears," "Chicken Nugget," and Song Joong Ki's movie "My Name is Loh Kiwan" will premiere in the first quarter of 2024.

In addition, the "Hospital Playlist" spin-off "Resident Playbook," featuring Go Yoon Jung, will air in the second quarter, while Gong Yoo's K-drama comeback "The Trunk" is in the fourth quarter of the year.
