Park Min Young's drama "Marry My Husband" garners popularity not just in South Korea but also in neighboring countries. 

While the webtoon-based K-drama continues to garner high viewership, officials are looking into having a Japanese adaptation. 


'Marry My Husband' to Possibly Have a Japanese Remake? 

In a report by JTBC, production company Studio Dragon, who is behind the TVN series, shared that they are in discussion to release a Japanese remake of "Marry My Husband."

"The original webtoon the K-Drama is based on is also very popular in Japan, so we have been discussing a Japanese version of the K-Drama since even before the Korean version was broadcast."

Moreover, Studio Dragon added that they are "currently discussing the direction" of their plans with the Japanese team. 

From Soaring Rating to Perfect Streak as Most Buzzworthy Drama

One of the most watched K-dramas this first quarter of 2024 is none other than Park Min Young's drama "Marry My Husband."

Based on the webtoon of the same name, the story depicts the journey of Kang Ji Won, who experienced a chaotic marriage with Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung).

While dealing with stomach cancer, she found out that Min Hwan was having an affair with her best friend, Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon).

She continued to experience a hellish life at the hands of her loved ones, which led to her death. 

However, she mysteriously woke up 10 years earlier. Interestingly, she plans to use her second shot at life by planning her revenge against Min Hwan and Soo Min with the help of U&K CEO Yoo Ji Hyuk (Na In Woo).

As "Marry My Husband" officially aired in January, the TVN series continued to receive favorable reviews from viewers. 

On top of this, the weekday drama also showed an impressive viewership rating. 

From 5.211 percent during the pilot episode, Park Min Young's drama garnered 11.776 percent, its all-time high viewership. 

In addition to this, "Marry My Husband" is consistently ranked first in Most Buzzworthy Drama, as cited by Good Data Corporation. 

While the series showed its dominance in drama rankings, Park Min Young landed first place as the most buzzworthy actor for several weeks. 

Where to Watch the 'Marry My Husband' Finale?

With only 2 episodes left, viewers are tuning in to the thrilling revenge plan of Kang Ji Won against Park Min Hwan and Jung Soo Min. 

On the other hand, the series also featured the surprising character growth of Min Hwan in episode 14, showcasing his villanious role. 

Viewers get to see the last two episodes of "Marry My Husband" on February 19 and 20. 

Besides TVN, the series is also available on TVING and Prime Video.
