'Knight Flower' Holds New Record for Beating 'The Red Sleeve's' Viewership Rating

Lee Honey made her long-awaited small screen comeback through MBC's "Knight Flower." The actress plays the lead role of Jo Yeo Hwa, the daughter-in-law of a prominent noble family during the day. Her groom unexpectedly dies on their wedding day, turning her into a widow.

At night, though, she maintains her secret identity as a masked widow, who secretly helps people in need. 

The drama debuted on primetime last January 12 and gracefully concluded on February 17. According to Nielsen Korea, the ratings research organization, "Knight Flower" Episode 12 received a nationwide rating of 18.4 percent.

It has been said that the series had a three percentage point increase from its previous episode rating of 15.4%. The finale episode garnered the drama's highest rating ever.

Apart from this, Lee Honey's drama surpassed the 17.4% of "The Red Sleeve," which starred Lee Junho and Lee Se Young. 

"Knight Flower" is said to become the No. 1 drama in MBC's all-time ratings history.

"Knight Flower" is an action-comedy historical drama about a widow, who crosses the line at night, and a young handsome worker who is coveted by everyone in Saedamun.

Apart from Lee Honey, rising actor Lee Jong Won also received recognition for his amazing performance in this series. It was his first drama collaboration with the former beauty queen.
