Kim Soo Hyun Shares Thoughts on His 'Queen of Tears' Character

The long wait is finally over! The new onscreen couple Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are finally meeting the viewers this March!

Ahead of its release, the lead star sat for an interview and introduced his character.

"Queen of Tears" follows the thrilling and humorous love story of a married couple, who manages to survive a crisis and stay together against all odds. 

Kim Soo Hyun will play the role of Baek Hyeon Woo, the legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group.

The series quickly garnered attention upon announcement as it's the actor's next work and reunion with writer Park Ji Eun. According to the him:

"I feel both honored but also a bit burdened to be given a project with such a tremendous amount of charm."

Kim Soo Hyun's character, Baek Hyeon Woo, was born and raised in the small village of Yongduri. After he graduated from a prestigious law school, he was elected to the position of legal director of Queens Group. 

He fell in love with Hong Hae In, a third-generation chaebol heiress, who he met as a new employee. Eventually, they got married.

Kim Soo Hyun will have a big transformation as he will portray a married man to Kim Ji Won's character. Through this, expectations are high and viewers are already looking forward to his fresh performances as a married man. 

In regards to his role as a devoted and loving husband, Kim Soo Hyun said:

"I wish to showcase a sweet charm."

Kim Soo Hyun Calls Kim Ji Won as 'Good-Natured Person'

Apart from his role, Kim Soo Hyun also shared his experience working with his new onscreen partner Kim Ji Won and exposed the actress's true personality.

The lead actor revealed:

"Kim Ji Won is a good-natured person. She responds well to my jokes.

Her reactions vary depending on the effort I put into different scenes, which makes me feel like she is focused and genuinely listening to what I am expressing."

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will finally share their characters' stories in "Queen of Tears" beginning March 9 on tvN and Netflix.
