Viewers might get to see Park Hyung Sik on the big screen again!
Following his back-to-back K-dramas, the South Korean heartthrob was offered to headline the upcoming noir melodrama movie "Desperado." Amid the success of his current series "Doctor Slump," Park Hyung Sik will potentially take on a challenging role in the forthcoming film.
Park Hyung Sik In Talks To Work With 'Taxi Driver' Director for Movie 'Desperado'
An exclusive report stated that Park Hyung Sik is in talks to headline a noir-melodrama film that will be directed by Park Joon Woo ("Taxi Driver").
Offered to play the protagonist, the 32-year-old actor will showcase a strong image transformation through "Desperado." If Park Hyung Sik officially accepts the offer, he will transform into an undercover who infiltrated an organization for revenge. However, he finds himself falling in love with the enemy's daughter.
As for the daughter, she is set to take over the organization for the sake of her beloved family.
Expectations rise as Park Hyung Sik has displayed outstanding acting skills in his previous projects, regardless of the genre. This includes "Hwarang," "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "Happiness," "Soundtrack #1," "Our Blooming Youth," and more.
In addition, this will be Park Hyung Sik's return to the big screen since the 2019 film "Juror 8" with Moon So Ri.

On top of it, "Desperado" director Park Joon Woo has created a notable thriller mystery series, including "Doctor Detective," "Taxi Driver," and another upcoming K-drama, "Crash."
Interestingly, writer Ryu Yong Jae of "Psychopath Diary," "Peninsula," "Monstrous," and "Money Heist: Korea-Joint Economic Area" will be working on the screenplay.
Park Hyung Shik on 'Doctor Slump', Reunion with Park Shin Hye
Released on January 27, "Doctor Slump" is in its final week as the medical-romance series will officially bid goodbye on March 17.
While the JTBC series showcases an impressive response from the viewers, Park Hyung Sik said he "strongly" relates to the premise of the K-drama, which focuses on an individual's experience of going through a slump. He told Elle Korea about his hope for the people who are watching "Doctor Slump."
"I hope that by watching our drama, people will be comforted by the idea that 'It's not just me; everyone is living like that.' I was especially drawn to 'Doctor Slump' because it felt so human."
As mentioned, the series is his reunion project with Park Shin Hye after 11 years, as both stars first worked together in "The Heirs." He expressed how "impressed" he is with how his co-star "suddenly whipped out emotions as if she'd pressed a button," adding that he "learned a lot" just by watching Park Shin Hye.
