‘Flex X Cop’ Episode 16: Did Ahn Bo Hyun Become the Next Hansu Chairman?

Ahn Bo Hyun was in denial about his discovery in "Flex X Cop" Episode 16. As he dug deep into the deaths of his parents, he faced an unexpected revelation regarding his brother.

Headlined by the South Korean heartthrob as third-generation chaebol Jin Yi Soo, he suddenly became a detective due to his involvement in an unexpected case.

Jin Yi Soo was assigned to work with Team 1 under their leader, Detective Lee Kang Hyun (Park Ji Hyun), who was vocal about her distrust of the new member.

Interestingly, the team managed to solve even the toughest case thanks to Jin Yi Soo.

'Flex X Cop' Episode 16 Rating: Crime Drama Experiences Minimal Decrease in Finale

Wrapping up the weekend K-drama, "Flex X Cop" Episode 16 experienced a slight decrease in rating.

In a report, the SBS series garnered an average nationwide rating of 9.3 percent for the season finale, a minimal decline from its previous episode of 9.5 percent.

The broadcast network previously announced that "Flex X Cop" Season 2 is coming, but the official cast members and target release date are yet to be confirmed.

'Flex X Cop' Episode 16: Jin Yi Soo Solves Parents' Murder Case

As the team discussed the possible culprit with photos of Jin Seung Joo and Jo Hee Ja up on the board, Jin Yi Soo entered the station and revealed that he remembered that Seung Joo's mom assaulted his mom on the day that she died.

Lee Kang Hyun also mentioned Seung Joo's name as one of the possible suspects, but he believed that there was no way his brother would do it.

On the other hand, Kang Hyun's dad, Lee Hyung Joon, now the captain, tried to retrieve the evidence that they might have missed out on the day of the trial.

Although the case had now expired and was ruled to be a suicide, Lee Hyung Joon and Kang Hyun wanted to get things right for Jin Yi Soo.

Thankfully, he was able to retrieve two fingerprints that were found on the scene. He mentioned it to his daughter and told her to wait for the result.

On the day of Seung Joo's inauguration as the new chairman, Jin Yi Soo made his presence but confronted him about the details of his mother's death. He pointed out that he never saw his mother and didn't even know his house back then.

As he returned to the station, he saw the result of the fingerprint, showing that the other unidentified mark belonged to Jin Seung Joo.

Jin Yi Soo asked Seung Joo to come to his place, which he did. He saw his brother trying to be calm as he asked him again about his involvement with the case.

Of course he denied it, but told him about the fingerprints found on the scene.

A flashback featured how Seung Joo slipped the sleeping pills into Yi Soo's mom's drink, causing her to lose her consciousness. He then placed the body in the bath tub to make it look as if she had committed suicide.

What prompted Seung Joo to do it was the upcoming divorce between his mother and Jin Myung Chul.

In "Flex X Cop" Episode 16, Jin Seung Joo was arrested for a lifetime sentence.

Jin Yi Soo declined the post to become the next Hansu chairman and appointed his father's longtime aide, Mr. Choi, as the newest chairman.

As for him, he continues to be part of Lee Kang Hyun's team.
