As the Korean variety show is back with a new season, the South Korean heartthrob will once again showcase his cooking skills along with familiar faces.

In an exclusive report by Ten Asia, Ahn Bo Hyun, who delighted fans with his charisma, will return in Season 2.

In addition to this, Baek Jong Won will continue his role as head chef on the variety show.

Meanwhile, viewers get to see the new season since the production will start filming in April.

As for the broadcast date, the network moved the variety show to the weekend instead of the Thursday broadcast.

"The Backpacker Chef," which aired from May to October 2022, is a cooking entertainment program that showcases the hosts' skills under extreme challenges.

Viewers get to see how they improvise a customized meal within a limited time in an unfamiliar location.

Season 1 showcased a variety of clients and locations, such as military bases, wrestling clubs, daycare centers, zoos, schools, and more.

Throughout the show's 20 episodes, the highest viewership rating of "The Backpacker Chef" season 1 was 5.3%.

The first season includes Ahn Bo Hyun, Baek Jong Won, DinDin, and Oh Dae Hwan as regular members, while the show also featured guests such as "Korea-Khitan War" Kim Dong Jun, professional South Korean footballer Jung Jo Gook, YouTuber and Italian Michelin 1-star chef Fabrizio Ferrari, and more.

Ahn Bo Hyun's 'Flex X Cop' Gets Renewed for Season 2

Following the success of Ahn Bo Hyun's drama, the action-comedy series "Flex x Cop" is making a comeback for a second season.

Ahead of the season finale, a drama representative confirmed that "Flex X Cop" Season 2 is happening and is currently under preparation.

With this, screenwriter Kim Ba Da, who also wrote "My Name," is "working on the script for Season 2."

Meanwhile, they are also "positively discussing" the cast members, which include lead stars Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun, "while sorting out schedules."

Although season 1 failed to score another double-digit rating for the finale episode, Ahn Bo Hyun teased fans with his return in season 2.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared behind-the-scenes photos during the filming of "Flex X Cop."

Along with it is a lengthy message to viewers, expressing his gratitude for the support throughout the broadcast.

"Thank you so much for loving 'Flex X Cop.' Thank you to the actors who enjoyed and made the scene united. I learned a lot," he said, adding that he will greet fans with a "cool" character in Season 2.

He ended his post by saying, "See you again for sure," suggesting how excited he is for the release of the sequel.
