‘Pyramid Game’ Scene-Stealer Hwang Hyun Jung Couples With DKZ Jaechan In New Series — Details Inside!

Hwang Hyun Jung is creating a name for herself in the acting scene as she finally wins over the hearts of the viewers with her performance in "Pyramid Game."

Following the success of the show, the rising actress bags a new series called "The Woman Who Plays" with DKZ Jaechan. Here's what we know so far.

Hwang Hyun Jung Dishes On 'Pyramid Game' Experience

Hwang Hyun Jung is among the 25 artists that completed the all-female ensemble of TVING's highly loved series "Pyramid Game."

Born in 2004, she was also the youngest artist in the cast. However, it didn't stop her from performing well as Kim Da Yeon, one of the vicious school violence perpetrators in the show.

The rising star expresses her gratitude to the viewers who both hated and loved her, saying, "I feel accomplished whenever a viewer appreciates my performance."

According to the actress, she received an audition invite from the director herself after she saw her work in the Netflix series "Juvenile Justice" which aired in 2022.

"Because of the great opportunity given to me, I made sure to seamlessly synchronize with Kim Da Yeon," the actress shared. "I paid attention to my appearance and how I delivered her lines."

To recall, Hwang Hyun Jung, who had short hair at the time, dyed some streaks of her hair green in order to synchronize with the original webtoon character.

In addition to that, she also made sure to understand her character's feelings to be able to portray the trauma that Kim Da Yeon experienced and inflicted upon others.

Hwang Hyun Jung promises to return with much greater work in the future. She wishes to play a timid role, a complete opposite of her characters in "Pyramid Game" and "Juvenile Justice."

Hwang Hyun Jung Couples With DKZ Jaechan In New Series

Following her "Pyramid Game" debut, Hwang Hyun Jung continues to rise to the top as a rising star with the upcoming JTBC series "The Woman Who Plays."

The series stars veteran actors Uhm Tae Goo and Han Sun Hwa, and it depicts the story of a man who comes to terms with his dark past and a woman who has a huge love for children.

In the series, Hwang Hyun Jung joins the cast as Seung Hee, a lively and confident character who becomes DKZ Jaechan's Dong Hee's love interest.

Through "The Woman Who Plays," Hwang Hyun Jung will take on her first-ever romance role, which raises the excitement and expectations through the roof.
