As mentioned by a media outlet, Lee Jung Shin shared his tough time back in 2020.

After enlisting in the military in July 2018, he completed his mandatory service in 2020 along with fellow CNBLUE member Kang Min Hyuk.

However, he said that this is the year where he encountered several unfortunate events, including the death of his father.

The idol actor then shared why he is "grateful to Lee Joon."

According to him, the MBLAQ member was among the celebrities who visited the wake of his father.

"I wasn't myself at his funeral," he said, adding that the actor surprised him by showing up.

"At that time, I didn't even have Lee Joon's number. I mean, I felt close to him at heart, because we trained in the same building around the same time. But we never trained together or anything. In fact, we never even bumped into each other during our trainee days, but he had come to my father's funeral. I was so surprised."

The CNBLUE member also recalled that Lee Joon visited the wake without his manager and was alone at the time.

One thing that surprised Lee Jung Shin was when Lee Joon mentioned that he came to the wake after seeing the passing of his father on the news.

"Lee Joon told me that he felt like he had to come, so that was why he came," he recalled, adding, "I'm still grateful to him for that gesture to this day. Lee Joon is such an incredible guy."
