'Lovely Runner' Episode 4: Im Sol Returns to 2023, Sees Changes in Future
In 2023, Im Sol realized that her future had changed due to her actions in the past, including a couple of photo of her with Sun Jae. But she was saddened by the fact that she wasn't able to save the idol yet.

In order to save Sun Jae, Im Sol tried to return to the past but her watch didn't work. She received a call from Baek In Hyuk who told her about Sun Jae being sorry for her, which shocked her. That was when she traveled back in time again.
In 2008, ten days had passed since Im Sol's first time slip. She became Kim Tae Sung's (Song Geon Hee) girlfriend and was horrified by the actions 19-year-old Im Sol committed.
At that time, Ryu Sun Jae was angry at her for dating Tae Sung the day after confessing to her.

Knowing she had another chance to change things, she went to In Hyuk and warned him not to take Sun Jae to the auditions. She was preventing him from debuting as a singer. She even sneaked into Sun Jae's room to destroy CEO Kim's business card.
Ryu Sun Jae Struggles To Let Go of His Feelings For Im Sol
As the story progresses, Ryu Sun Jae struggles to let go of his feelings for Im Sol, but he was left confused when Im Sol tried to get close to him again. He was surprised to see her sleeping under his bed.
Ryu Sun Jae saw that she was sweating from her sleep and turned on the fan for her. He looked at Im Sol's face with affection and even compared the size of her hands, acting in love with his first love.
Im Sol then woke up and had a confrontation with Sun Jae. She told him that she couldn't remember what had happened at the pool, where Sun Jae confessed and kissed her. Ryu Sun Jae was embarrassed and took it as a good thing that she didn't remember it.
That night, Im Sol confessed that she wanted to get along with him again, and asked him not to push her away, but Sun Jae gave her the cold shoulder.
Im Sol Remembers Ryu Sun Jae Saved Her From Accident
The following day, an accident happened to Im Sol on her way home. She fell asleep on the bus and arrived at a deserted place. Im Sol encountered a drunk man and was in a dangerous situation.
Just when she was about to fall, Ryu Sun Jae came running towards her, and her memories of him.
It was he who saved her during her accident.

Im Sol then fell over the railing of the bridge and Sun Jae chased after her and rescued her.
In the end, Im Sol was heartbroken by the memory. She just looked at the worried Sun Jae and gave him a tight hug while bursting into tears.
