‘The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection’ Episode 8: Hwang Jung Eum Creates Survival Game as Revenge

"The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection" Episode 8 unraveled explosive secrets as Hwang Jung Eum chose repentance. 

A sequel to the 2023 "The Escape of the Seven: War of Survival," the second season focuses on the group's revenge against Matthew Lee, played by Uhm Ki Joon.

In addition, the season also highlights Geum Ra Hee's (Hwang Jung Eum) character growth after finding out the truth behind her daughter Bang Da Mi's death. 

'The Escape of the Seven' Episode 8: What Happened to Geum Ra Hee? 

Geum Ra Hee created a survival game, in which Matthew Lee, Min Do Hyuk, Cha Joo Ran, Go Myung Ji, Yang Jin Mo, and Nam Chul Woo were confined in a glass box where they had to succeed in tasks to survive. 

Matthew Lee, Cha Joo Ran, Go Myung Ji, Yang Jin Mo, and Nam Chul Woo managed to survive, while Min Do Hyuk almost didn't make it.

Geum Ra Hee saved him.

As for her, she chose to stay in the area and waited for her final time, accepting her punishment. 

At the hospital, while the survivors were in their recovery period, Hwang Chan Seong came and revealed that it was he who saved them from the bombing. He also brought up the fact that he has footage of their confession, which was captured during the survival game. 

Hwang Chan Seong made a deal that he would not release it if TikiTaka's system, LUCA, was his. 

For reference, LUCA was a system created by Bang Da Mi's adoptive father, Lee Hwi Soo, which now belongs to Matthew Lee. 

Of course, Matthew Lee refused to cave in at his request, but Yang Jin Mo and the rest of the group were willing to help Hwang Chan Seong as long as he would keep the confession a secret. 

One of the significant scenes in "The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection" Episode 8 was Min Do Hyuk's discovery about Geum Ra Hee. She left a letter, which Do Hyuk gave to Han Mo Ne.

Here, she found out that her mother was alive and was under Geum Ra Hee's supervision. 

However, Hwang Chan Seong discovered her secret and got Han Mo Ne's mother. 

The episode also included the truth behind Kang Ki Tak's child. 

In the last scene, Geum Ra Hee hinted that Kang Ki Tak has a child, which she despised and apologized for.
