‘Frankly Speaking’ Episode 1: Go Kyung Pyo’s Accident Changes Trajectory of His Life

Song Ki Baek (Go Kyung Pyo) had a change of attitude after an accident occurred during his encounter with On Woo Joo (Kang Han Na) in "Frankly Speaking" Episode 1.

'Frankly Speaking Episode 1: Song Ki Baek's Damaged Reputation 

Song Ki Baek was already near his desired position in the broadcasting company but was delayed due to his co-worker's personal affairs.

Elsewhere, On Woo Joo, a head writer of the variety show "Men on The Run," was in the middle of a blind date but was distracted by calls from her work.

Unfortunately, due to an emergency at work, she had to leave her date.

The emergency turned out to be one of the cast members of her program, Kim Seong Hun refused to participate in the shoot. It was because his girlfriend ordered him not to interact with girls.

Woo Joo tried almost everything just to change Seong Hun's mind, but it frustrated her even more.

Back at the news studio, Hye Heon, Song Ki Baek's co-anchor, received a threat from her husband, who discovered her affair with a man. He made a scene in the studio that almost ruined Ki Baek's reputation as a news announcer. He was just trying to stop the commotion but ended up in an embarrassing situation.

On Woo Joo Pursues Song Ki Baek to Join Her Show

The news was spread on national television, and Woo Joo found out that Seong Hun was the man whom Hye Heon was having an affair with.

Due to this, he skipped the shoot and left.

The incident ruined Song Ki Baek's career big time. Since he was still hoping for a promotion, he tried to accept any work from his colleagues as it might help him build a good reputation.

Woo Joo, on the other hand, was also having a big problem with how she would continue the show to prove its ratings.

Together with her team, they were in search of who to invite next for the program, and after considering it, she wanted Song Ki Baek to join. The next day, she tried to persuade him to appear on "Men on The Run," but he refused.

Interestingly, after having thought about it, Song Ki Baek accepted the project and arrived at the shoot location. He met the rude idol PN.

Song Ki Baek Accidentally Gets Electrocuted

The filming began when there were two teams playing dodgeball. Since PN is an idol, he was the center of the other team. However, his rudeness made Ki Baek angry, and intentionally hit him on the face.

During the break, Woo Joo confronted Ki Baek about his attitude towards PN. While explaining himself, he sneezed and unfortunately grabbed an open live wire and got electrocuted. The whole building had a blackout while Won Joo checked if he was okay. He said he was okay, but that was a lie.

The incident altered his brain chemistry, and unable to keep his thoughts and feelings like before. He returned to the set and when he heard PN, badmouthing him, he lost his patience and grabbed PN's collar while scolding him. He was about to slap him when he came to his senses and started screaming.
